Geekzone served up this ad to me. I doubt I'd be able to afford to buy a favour from a shire councillor in Coonabarabran.

The noise my daughter makes when her Brother is getting to do something and she wants to be included. Asking without actually asking. It's like an enquiring excited squeak. So cute.

That I can immediately look up the answer on the web to any question that occurs to me on whatever device happens to be handy. I am old enough to still be thrilled by this.

Occasionally, an ENTIRE day goes by without a single posting in the Donald Trump thread :-)

@SepticSceptic:

Either

1. You are happy Trump hasn't done anything stupid that day or

2. You do not think highly of that thread

In either case you can just ignore a thread that displeases you. Even easier since the Politic sub-forum doesn't show up in the front page.

Wait till you make a panel with some greenstuff insulation inside it covered by fabric. That solves so much audio issues both for home theater and also recording yourself on microphone.

Don't know if 'smile' is exactly the right word here, but I watch some American TV news, mainly MSNBC, and there are lots of commercials touting all kinds of medications for some pretty serious conditions. They all pretty much follow the same bizarre format: the debilitating condition is presented, then the 'miracle' treatment, then a long sequence of happy energetic people dancing around with idiotic expressions of delight on their faces while a narrator in the background lists all the many, many side effects of the medication being promoted, up to and including major organ failures and death in a variety of agonising ways, laid out in endless detail.

I do understand that they are doing this to fulfil legal requirements and to protect themselves from liability, but the commercials are frankly ridiculous. Yet there are many of them, most for things I never knew existed. It must really suck to be alive!

I fee sorry for anyone who actually does suffer from any of these conditions, and I don't doubt some do, but it's hard not to laugh at some of these stupid commercials. If any of the actors actually had any of the conditions being described, I very much doubt they would be jumping around their gardens with the grandkids or doing any of the other things shown, and they certainly wouldn't be laughing and smiling all that much!

The funniest thing I *ever* saw was Billy Connelly live performance segment on a weight loss drug he took with the side effects that included Uncontrollable oily discharge. I *honesty* thought I was going to die laughing and in the end (so I could stop hearing him talk) I had to cover my ears I was laughing so hard. He is without peer in my view, and the world will be much worse off without him. Makes me smile just to remember how hard I laughed.

Probably No 1, but I dont want to over-think it. Over-thinking hurts.

I have rolled my eyes so many times at the antics of D. Trump, I think I have eye-strain ..

An entire year (plus some) has gone by since someone posted on the "legacy mobile platforms" forum (let alone any individual thread in that forum).

I look forward to the day the Trump thread becomes equally dead as a dodo.
