Maybe some of you need to visit recent subdivisions in NZ?

^ How can I 'unsupport' this post, because it makes me sad?
My Secret Santa gave me a Raspberry Pi Zero 2w, plus official case for Christmas and I subsequently purchased the official Raspberry Pi branded HDMI mini to HDMI adapter cable - only to discover that the blade on the mini end is too short to connect to the Pi Zero unless it is removed from the case. A Google search reveals numerous user forums with people complaining about the same thing, with hacks to cut back the plastic surrounding the mini end.
You have to ask yourself how could this sort of thing even happen? It's only the Pi Zero family that uses HDMI mini and the case has been the same since the original Pi Zero, so there is no chance that they tested it against something else - well actually I think you have to conclude there was Zero testing 😀
Not really annoying but frustrating and sad, that there are no words to adequately comfort someone who is grieving the loss of someone they cared about/loved.

Sometimes no words are the best words and just being present and available is the thing to do.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

There's a surprising number of YT channels run by lawnmowing contractors. From them it seems that it is quite common to have the local authority send a contractor out at your expense to mow even slightly overgrown lawns visible from the street with a fine tacked on equal to the cost of the lawnmowing. It may be the land of the free but god help you if you don't conform. In 1998 I visited a cousin living near Chicago. Where he lived all houses looked the same with about 4 choices of garage door colour. He admitted that he used the door opener to remind him which house was his.
Auckland council sends someone out four times a year to mow my berm, they don't charge me though. Last time the guy on the ride on just drove over and munched a street sign which had been knocked over...
People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Stu: You don't mow your own berm?
Nah. I did a couple of times but a) council comes to do it anyway and b) it's on a busy road so the amount of rubbish and bottles and general disgustingness of people meant my poor mower was dealing with too much glass and metal. The council's ride on deals with that stuff much better...

Yep, I have a camera built in to my TV. However, the reasonably large TV is mounted high on a wall so in order to be seen by the camera we needed to be standing on the couch. The camera is fixed angle and not able to be adjusted at all, so that was a clear failure of design. And the weight of the TV meant an adjustable arm mount was not feasible.
Yet they manage it in meeting rooms in offices...!
I want the full Cisco Telepresence experience when I am talking to friends and relatives - in this era, having them there as if they are in the room rather than on a tiny screen seems to me to be the sort of thing we should be expecting.

Geektastic: The fact that it's not as easy as it should be to use the big TV to do video calls.
Yes I can use Airplay to stream the video. However the camera remains on the device. So if I look at the camera... I'm not looking at the TV.
Why don't the TV's have cameras and software in to do this? Given the world we find ourselves in you'd have thought they'd have jumped on it.
They tried that for a bit but I think all the ones that had apps for it now no longer get updates so its a useless thing now.
Also many people dont like the idea of a camera on their TV.
And there are many cheap devices to add android and a camera to a TV, but again, they do not sell well.

No, I get my berms by special delivery.
That I upgraded to W11 and the taskbar is fixed to the bottom of the screen and can't be moved.
There is a registry change which allows me to move the taskbar on the main monitor but not any additional screens. I have a 49" at home and two 27"s at work.
I hate the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, plus the time and date etc is only on the main screen and not the extra monitors.
