neb: Applications whose UI is so appallingly unintuitive or just plain broken that you have to resort to Google searches just to perform basic operations. Gmail and Signal spring immediately to mind. Problem is that a lot of the time all you find is endless messages from other people trying to find out how to do the same thing. And a Gmail specialty when you're looking for help is to carefully describe steps that haven't applied to any version of Gmail in the last five years, because UI Refresh.

This applies to 'free' image editing software that camera makers supply. It's all awful but contains the best algorithms for decoding the RAW files from that makers camera.

Licence the algorithms to Adobe and stop mucking about!!

Based on the last few posts around Adobe's behaviour, perhaps they aren't the company of choice...

This is a huge thread which indicates there are many things which annoy people and it's possible this particular annoyance has already been documented.

With that caveat (and this is a real first world problem), going to cafes (and sometimes restaurants) where the tables have wobbly legs and you are always stuffing paper napkins or something similar under one leg to stabilise them. For me there is nothing more annoying than being in a cafe and sitting in a table like that.  And it's even worse when the proprietor has done the stuffing of the paper under the leg and not bothered to provide a permanent fix.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

They are makers of first class creative software. They just require that you pay (quite a lot) to use it!

Yes. Restaurant tables ought to have self-leveling legs!

Easily solved with round, three-legged tables. People just need to get over the idea of doing things the same way they have always been done because that is how they have always been done.

That has indeed been mentioned in this thread (years ago) as I remember someone who works in a restaurant complaining about the 'opposite' problem: Where they've gone to the trouble of making the tables level and then customers have moved them around, joined them together etc. and made them all wonky again.

😡They also bundled a McAfee AV trial, that would want to install itself unless you explicitly opted out, with every Flash update, which was often.🤬

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

What about doing things that can't be undone? Level the floor. Get tables with adjustable length size.

Instead, yeah let's complain about the person actually bringing money into the business.

i know this wont be the first time but the Media and the reporting around omicron is getting way over the top, the latest is supermarket supply and how there will be nothing on shelves soon but hey dont panic buy. The supply expert (who knew that was a thing]who said we could be out of toilet paper in a  week, is the latest in stories that are not news and we dont need it. Report it when it happens , then it's news.

My wife hates it when we enter a cafe.

Waiter:  Please take a seat and I'll bring a menu over

Me:  Walks around every table, rocking them to see which ones rock and which ones don't. Select a table after I've eliminated the tables that aren't stable.

Exactly. I do something similar. There is no excuse for tables like that. How long would you put up with your dining room table being unstable like that?

Having a busy day of meetings and one that is a standing invite every week at the same time being rescheduled just 5 min before it's due, but being rescheduled to suite the rest of the team, who are all in Australia.

i.e. 6pm meeting that was until 10 min ago 2.15pm.

Annoying.

Thank God I am leaving. This is not an irregular occurrence.
