stuartgr: Gangster Squad - 9/10.  Awesome movie, great action and humour.

I must admit I was quite disappointed with Gangster Squad.  Some bits of it were somewhat entertaining but I got quite bored towards the end. I didn't really go into it with too many expectations, but it still seemed to try too hard without really going anywhere or saying anything new. Lots of style but not much substance, and some of the lines really were cringe-worthy.  By the end I wished I'd just re-watched LA Confidential instead.

Maybe 6/10 from me if I'm generous.

ToPGuNZ: Hugo - 7/10. I enjoyed the story and the atmosphere of the movie. An interesting and fun setting with excellent artwork and visuals. For me it just did not go to the next level of enjoyment. Not sure why maybe it was too serious for a G rated movie.

The Croods - 10/10. The whole family really enjoyed this one. I liked the way they over emphasized the caveman mentality and abilities. Really fun, great story and excellent effects. Nothing like the kids oohing and aahing while clinging to your arm.

Would it be suitable for sensitive 3 year old to watch? He finds almost all violence disturbing.
