networkn: Iron Man 3. I was disappointed. I love these type of movies and with all the rave reviews I had high expectations, I felt it was a bit stupid. Awesome special effects and a few yahoo moments, but left me cold. 7/10 being generous.

Felt the same - saw it in 3D last night. Was good but not as good as the first (and #2...well... better off forgetting that movie was ever made IMHO).

Movie 43 - for s**** and giggles, while drinking, sure thing..... its childish jokes and toilet humour played out by some of the better known actors out there.   5/10

Recorded Signs last night just to "refresh" the memory.

The irony... In this scene Rev. Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) says "Explain act crazy", as if Mel Gibson in real life needed any explanation about "act crazy":

I wasn't sure I was going to admit this but I got dragged along to see GI Joe 2 in 3D. That was a $34 waste of time and something that best belongs to home video. Not much plot, average action and very ineffective 3D. Probably a movie filmed in 2D and then 3D done in post.

I went and saw iron man 3 at the movies a few weeks ago.
I enjoyed it loootts. I love the marvel series, and I love Robert Downy Jr. as an actor, he plays the role of Tony Stark so well!

Django Unchained - this movie is too overrated. Good movie but nothing exciting. I like westerns and but I don't think that will watch this one many times.  7/10

Silent Hill Revelations  1/10

AVOID at all cost! I quite liked the original but the sequel is just downright painful to watch.

Starring Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell, Carrie Anne Moss and Malcolm MacDowell, you'd think they would have half the chance for a decent sequel... but no.

Jurassic Park 3D - 8/10

I saw this film at the movies back in the 90s, and have only seen it a few times since on VHS, so it was great to go back and see this on the big screen.  The 3D was okay, if understated.  If they had simply re-released it without the 3D conversion, I think it still would have been great.

Some of the effects look a little dated, but that's to be expected from a 20-year old film.  What is impressive, though, is how many effects still hold up.

My wife had never seen Jurassic Park, apart from small clips here or there, so it was fun to take her along and get her reaction.  She loved it.  Nuff said.

Saw Spring Breakers tonight. Terrible film, more or less an entire two hours of scantily clad females partying with some dribble of dialogue that was somehow supposed to turn Wild On! into some sort of movie. Worst film I've seen all year and I watched Spy Kids 2 not that long ago. 2/10

Jack Reacher is now available on iTunes USA for rental. So watched it and... ok, not that bad. I give it 7/10 although some scenes dragged a bit too long - the car chase scene for example is no Bullit and could be a bit shorter.

Star Trek Into Darkness 3d 5 outta 5. Saw this at the titan screen at reading cinema last night at a preview. From the opening scene this movie was for me pretty much awesome. I didn't expect to actually enjoy this movie as much as I did a lot of humour which wasn't over the top or out of place. The visual effects and sound effects were spot on. The 3d effects were not too bad certainly not too over the top & not too many.

Not going to give any actual story spoilers but the movie is definitely a remake but one done well. I'm going to see it again and will be watching the first again when I buy it on bluray as seeing this has convinced me to do that so I can add the new one to my collection when it becomes available.

Oh just for those who were probably thinking that I'm a huge Star Trek fan I like it but would certainly not call myself a trekkie at all this movie was just that good in my opinion.
