I watched Farmaggedon yesterday, boy it made me angry... okay, american documentaries aren't very objective most of the time, but man do the government are mean with small farms!

Anywho, it's about the struggle of small farms and coops against the usda and other autorities... as a person that loves to buy local and organic food, it pissed me off! But it was good, i give it like 7/10

Might see it in theatres, but if I miss it then waiting for iTunes won't be a big deal. A lot cheaper.

Yeah I can't wait for that, looks really funny :)

As does this one - interesting that two mildly similar films are coming out at the same time from both sides of the Atlantic - makes it easy to see the differences in comedic styles coming from both sides!

Star Trek Into Darkness 3D

WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP !!!

Three years and this is the best they could come up with ?

A re-hashed past storyline with nothing new.

Some gee-whizz CGI and those goddamn lense flares !!!

3/10

I saw it last night (Thursday) with my daughter. We were prepared for a good movie. She was really excited.

I see it this way:

1. Great special effects!

2. Love the 3D...though it's quite flat due to being a conversion.

3. The acting was generally more than adequate, though you soon realise Benedict Cumberbatch would be a FAAAARRRR superior star ship captain to the actor who plays Jim Kirk....who seems like a little boy by comparison.

4. The plot. What a mess. It let everything else down.

I saw it tonight. I enjoyed it, though the lens flare ruined large parts for me. Is it intentional and if so WHY!?!?!

7/10 for me.

A guy behind me fell asleep and snored so loud someone tried to wake him.

Yes, the lense flares are intentional, all part of JJ Abrams visual "style".

It's a wonder the crew can even pilot the Enterprise out of space dock with all that light on the bridge.

Check out these links on the subject...

Saw "Killer Joe" last night. I like Matthew Mcconaughey, but this movie was terrible. The story was all over the place, the ending sucked, way too many unnecessary scenes. The acting was good though, so I'll give it a 4/10

Saw Star Trek Into Darkness and loved it, yes the lens flare got a little OTT but I really enjoy the banter between Kirk and well the rest of his crew. I think they nailed the casting for these movies. Karl Urban makes an excellent Bones and Zachery Quinto is Spock in his entirety. I'm looking forward to more. 8/10

Also rewatched Signs last night. I love this movie and think it's right up there with Sixth Sense unfortunately I can't say the same for a lot of M. Night Shyamalan's other films. 8/10

Watched Star Trek Into Darkness in 2d Last night with my partner and just like before I'm going to give it a 5 outta 5 based on how she felt about the movie. Neither of us are huge Star Trek fans or even Sci Fi (I am but not so much her) yet she was getting excited at times throughout the movie, loved the banter and afterwards said it was awesome and wants me to buy it (already made that decision) when it's released for purchase.

The lens flare issue is not something that although yes noticeable at times is not that bad my partner didn't really even notice it. Our only fault with our screening last night was the theatre (Reading Cinema Courtenay Place) was with the audio which kept cutting in and out from loud and seat rumbling at all the right times to going very soft that it seemed that they pulled the speaker plugs out or turned off the surround sound.

I am too hoping for a third title to be released and again hopeful that this will follow on from this one and be a remake of sorts of The Wrath of Khan keeping Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan as he really does a great job of this character.
