Good work Diamond Pasta company.

Opened a (supposed) 500g packet of fettuccine for dinner last night to weight out 250g.

The remainder looked to be a lot less than what I had taken out.  I put it back in and the total weight of the packet was 365g.  (I don't have calibrated scales but another 500g packet of something proved them to be accurate enough.)

Mrs Floyd emailed them to complain at 8pm last night.  By 9pm had received a reply complete with apology and voucher for 2 x replacement packets.  (I believe they're a NZ company as well so don't think it came from off-shore.)

(Also a 'thank you' to @freitasm for the rapid response to an unlock request.)

Diamond may be an NZ company but most of the pasta product is made in Italy. The rest seems to be made in Australia.

AA Service.

Had my wifes car serviced. On a days notice, pretty much exactly on time, and in line with the quote. Their description of what they found with the car was excellent and thorogh, but what was even better, was I forgot entirely to use my discount card, and when I rang them, it was no problem, stop off and we will credit your card.

I fully expected them to laugh me off the phone.

Awesome service.

Second post in this thread in the space of a month 🙂

Hettich NZ this time.

Who? I hear you ask.

Hettich manufacture hinges, latches, drawer runners etc.

One of the hinges on our pantry door wouldn't close fully. It's one of them fancy self/soft close ones.  In good geeky fashion I took it off and gave it a close inspection to discover a couple of tiny metal fragments had broken off causing the self-close mechanism to collapse.

Their website showed about 3 different hinges that all look quite similar and each has about 6 variants and I couldn't locate a part number or a SKU on my one.  Took some photos and emailed them to help me identify the right replacement, also asking them if I could get one locally (Wellington), and also asked if it was possible that it may still be under warranty.  The kitchen was installed just under 5 years ago.  I sent the email on Sunday morning.

Reply received by 08.31 Monday morning saying that due to the age they would replace under warranty, and asked for delivery address and how many hinges on the door.  Today I'm the recipient of six fresh new hinges.

A big thank you and Kudos to Noel Leeming Tauriko, Tauranga and eufy NZ.

My Eufy S300 security camera (one of two), after charging, refused to reconnect to the base station. After following all the support instructions, on-line and by phone, I took the camera into Noel Leeming Tauriko where I had purchased it from in January 2023. (actually dealt with the same salesman that sold it to me). They sent it off to the eufy repairers, Directed NZ, under the CGA as it was out of warranty by 1½ years.

Two weeks later, notified to come and collect item. Went and picked it up today. Fault found as reported by customer. Full brand-new replacement camera issued. The paper work stated this was "Covered under good will".

Installed new camera after full charge of battery. Now have a fully operational camera.

Well done Noel Leeming, Tauriko and Directed NZ and a big thanks.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

They should lose 1 star for pretending the CGA didn't exist and "good will" sorted it.
