jtbthatsme: I am too hoping for a third title to be released and again hopeful that this will follow on from this one and be a remake of sorts of The Wrath of Khan keeping Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan as he really does a great job of this character.

But then it will delay another season of BBC's Sherlock...

;)

Life of Pi - 7/10 I got a little lost at the end with the two stories, anyone who understands it is welcome to PM me to clarify :)

Alex Cross 3/10 worst movie I've seen all year, possibly the worst casting I've EVER seen and possibly the worst book to movie translation of characters ever. Matthew Fox was the movies ONLY redeeming factor.

freitasm: Jack Reacher is now available on iTunes USA for rental. So watched it and... ok, not that bad. I give it 7/10 although some scenes dragged a bit too long - the car chase scene for example is no Bullit and could be a bit shorter.

Slightly OT but how is the quality on iTunes?  It's also on Vudu at what Vudu called HDX and DD+ 5.1 and the two minute preview looked really good. But I saw it on a plane so I won't rent it again just for the larger screen experience.

It was ok for a 32" screen. My setup is not good for HD sound though so can't comment.

No PM required. The movie has been out for 5 months. :-)

Please refrain from posting spoilers in-thread, no matter how long a film has been out for - just assume there are people reading that haven't seen what you're talking about.

I watched Hansel and Gretel last night.

Give it a 7/10.

Good movie if you like lots of action and blood :)

Right...sound like a solid 10/10 for me, then!

Helps that it has Gemma Arterton in it...

Hansel and Gretal would be a 5 out of 10 for me. Special effects were lacking that's for sure, the big plastic gun he used was off putting.

I watched "Hansel and Gretel" last night, was a 7/10 for me as well. Lots of Action, lots of cheesy lines, good entertainment.

"A good day to die hard" - ugh, was not impressed. I think the script was just completely wrong. Sorry Bruce, you couldn't save that one- 4/10

The first Indiana Jones movie. Been years since I've watched it and this time I noticed two new things... I'm sure they won't be new to fans, but...

When the young girl punches him and says "I was a child! I was in love! It was wrong and you knew it." Indy replies "You knew what you were doing... I did what I did, you don't have to be happy about it" Did Indiana Jones have an affair with a 14 year old when he was 24? I checked and wow, yes he did. George Lucas wanted to do a back story about them. That might have been awkward. lol.

In a later scene a fly crawls around an actors face as he delivers his line, then the fly proceeds to walk right into the actors mouth and he doesn't even react... at all. That's some dedication! I can only imagine what happened when the director yelled CUT afterwards.
