floydbloke: The current Pope.
I'm not in any way religious myself, but if he can make some Catholic zealots rethink their biased attitudes, then that makes him a good dude in my view.

Catholics rejecting papal authority is pretty normal.

What's unusual this time is that the pope is appearing to be more liberal on some matters than some populist politicians.

Lizard1977:

Building the lego set I got for Father's day with my 6-year-old daughter.  It makes me smile to watch her study the instructions, find the pieces, and assemble it.  We're doing a section of the build every night after dinner (instead of watching TV), and it's so awesome to see her problem-solving skills in action.

Similar to an experience my girlfriend & I once shared together - using a poorly translated instructions manual to assemble a Chinese flatpack Entertainment Unit.

Great fun

That's why you need IKEA-style instructions, they make everything easy, for example building a house:

The Amazing Race Mt Roskill Edition. A *massive* shout out to the volunteers, organisers and supporters on putting together a truly excellent community experience. Lots of different activities, which were great fun. Was quite an undertaking at 16KM of biking, but I was super impressed that Miss 8 tackled it, completed it, with not a word of complaint including climbing Mt Roskill on her bike. Got to see lots of places we drive past every day and never noticed. To top it off our family team came first as well! The event was a total highlight of a productive and active weekend, and one of the best experiences of 2020. One of the coolest thing was a lady with her disabled Son who did the entire event as well, with loads of support from the other teams and volunteers and locals. Was great to see them win a prize at the end.

Got a new bike a week or so ago and it just wasn't quite as comfortable as my old bike, despite being incredibly similar in size and geometry.

Bought new bars for it, which has made an incredible difference to the look AND feel of the bike.  I'm a happy man.

Fixing stuff.

Was struggling to put/remove the hood on one of my lenses.  Bit of a silicone spray on a cotton bud, careful dab on lens and hood.....smooth as.

Mrs. Floyd's little TZ20 point & shoot was showing  a smudge on all photos.  Youtube teardown video...disassemble...blow dustbunnies off sensor...reassemble...no more smudgy photos.

So satisfying!!

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Doing the last 3 (YES 3!) Win10 updates that required a reboot, and EVERYTHING WORKED!

No reordering of audio devices etc!

Nothing I am aware of not working!

I'm almost tempted to have a beer alone! (I have a rule to never drink alone - but do drink)

Wow! - Well done, Win10 has set a record for me.

Well, there was a slight delay in my wishing process, but finally ... I'm smiling even brighter!

Unfortunately there still is a slight delay. I’m following this with huge interest on BBC News (because I like their coverage style). Their Electoral College results of Biden 253 Trump 214 haven’t changed in 48 hours. I guess patience is a virtue. Our full smiles will arrive eventually.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
