stocksp:and of course the nutritional value of the Whiskas might be higher than Chef?
Both of them are pretty much garbage (animal byproducts, wheat, corn starch, etc), you're just getting less garbage for your money now.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
Hotel breakfast buffet toasters.
Is there anything slower?
neb: Shrinkflation:
I wouldn't call it "Shrinkflation". I think the term applies only to the same product downsizing but keeping the price (and sometimes the same sized box). These are two different products.

Me too. It's our own fault for being so old. At least some of us have plenty of time on our hands to do it.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
How convoluted some things are in my job.
The vast majority of my job is relatively hassle-free and I use my long-term knowledge to make a difference, but there's a part of my job that is just seemingly-endless slog.

Haha sounds familiar. Part of my job was extremely tedious and really anyone could have been trained to do it for 10% of the cost of me doing it.

Yes, but that time is so much better spent shaking my fist at the clouds or scowling at the neighbours' kids riding their bicycles in the cul-de-sac.😆

That these electric cars somehow all look the same.
I was pondering this the other day. When you combine manufacturer’s obsession with the SUV format with putting a slab of batteries low down in the chassis you end up with the majority of EVs being the shape they are.
The freedom that the ‘skateboard’ layout gives hasn’t really been optimised yet. Partly because the OEMs are still producing full and partial ICE vehicles alongside EVs.
For the record, I like sedans over SUVs for looks and efficiency but the latter wins hands down for practicality. So the small thing that annoys me is the manufacturers have decided what I should like. They’ll say they are “responding to consumer demand”, but I would say they are driving it in that direction.
So maybe you could almost go as far as modifying yours statement to “Cars somehow all look the same”.
I agree. But what I mean are the many „Tesla-faces“ around ;-)

This isn't an annoyance per se, but Word just asked whether I want to write a review. The two buttons were labelled "OK" and "Write a Review". Technically those both mean the same thing!
This new habit some tech sites have of if you dare to move the arrow to the top of the browser to go off their page they stick some stupid box up to try to get your email out of you. All probably the same company masquerading as competition no doubt...

I could post a nice big rant about that sort of thing. The people in charge of HTML, JavaScript etc. seemed to rush to add in new features that never should have been there. The Web is, at its core, a document retrieval system. When you click a link or a button, sure, it should do something. But there is no reason for a document retrieval system to care where your mouse pointer is if you're not clicking anything. Alas, someone had the bright idea to create an API for that, and now here we are with advertisers abusing it.
Use does seem to morph into abuse pretty quickly nowadays.
I should probably point out that I'm quite enthusiastic about refusing cookies and clearing caches and that kind of stuff, so I'm sure its my own fault it pops up so much...
Pity they're not so enthusiastic about popping up a feedback button...Maybe i'll just send an email, but then they get my address so maybe not. Sigh.

Vote with your feet. Avoid the annoying sites.
Personally, I'm annoyed at the growing number of robot narrators on YT. I presume the creator is using text to speech of some kind. I just avoid their videos now.
