that 2 different courier companies picked up 2x packages (exact same item) from the exact same place on the same day, Friday the 19th, one was delivered yesterday, and one is still in transit. Going from Manukau to Mangere Bridge.

That PBT sent a tiny SD card in a large 25 x20 cm cardboard box then Aramex delivered box to the back door in full view of the street again when I have specified to Aramex never do this.

The picture book that comes with the AEG 10" mitre saw. I've never needed it until now because, well, it's just a mitre saw, but recently I needed to change the blade and, since it had locked into place, thought I might be trying to turn it in the wrong direction. This is what the picture book tells you:

The entire picture book is like that, just pictures of parts of the saw with arrows pointing to some of them. No text, just arrows and some pre-Sumerican iconographic glyphs in various locations.

Overall the "instructions" that come with this are slightly less useful than two guys in blue overalls with beer guts pointing at parts of it and grunting.

Reporting scam ads to FaceBook gets you a reply with a broken link. Why do I think that ad reporting isn't taken seriously?

And, that when I commented on an ad with the word "scam", I got a warning from FB that I was breaching their T&C.

And, in fact, that it seems that *every* ad on FB is a scam? Surely FB can't be oblivious to this?

The network at my work. I've been waiting 10 minutes for a 148k file to copy. If my calculations are correct (edit: they aren't) then that's slower than an acoustic coupler.

But yes, there is a lot of covert price increases going on. In many ways just the businesses trying to match their own increasing costs I guess

It gets better! After talking to IT, apparently the reason it won't copy is because the firewall thinks it's a virus (it isn't). Apparently when it finds such a file, it just throttles the connection instead of actually reporting failure.

For bonus points, it reports a CVE number for the supposed virus, but the CVE database has zero details so it's practically impossible to work around the problem if you don't know what it is.
