I only visit Facebook once every few weeks, to check for any family messages.

 

You can hide a "Suggested Post" but you can only do so for 30 days. Stupid.

But you can block them. Open them on a new tab to do it as it will navigate away from your feed.

Yes, @michaelmurfy mentioned this in the chat. I don't use FB that much but if I did, I would spend a lot of time blocking pages.

Look at this: one sponsored post, three suggested post. One after the other. None of them interesting.

 

You only see one friend's update every four or five "suggestion" or "sponsored" crap.

I get that on my alt account because it has so few friends and pages it follows. On my normal facebook I get one sponsored every 10 or so other posts of cats and cosplay posts.

The power supply for my Dell laptop appears to be on its way out so started browsing TM for a replacement.  Here's a screensnip of one that I came across:
