DarthKermit:

On Stuff:

"Ariana Grande is trying to hook her BFF up with A$AP Rocky"

I really have no idea what this garbage means, other than it's some kind of celebrity crap.

"A$AP Rocky" was the idiot that was thrown in a Swedish jail for assault in Stockholm.

I wouldn't have a clue to his name, except Trump appealed via Twitter for his release. Most think Trump appeal did absolutely nothing, except further annoy the Swedes.

Donald Trump thinks out loud (because it's impossible for him to think and not speak): “I want to say something cool and hip about A$AP Rocky’s release that I had nothing to do with”

Trump’s post on Twitter: “It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP”

I try to avoid celebrity gossip, as I don't want to lose brain cells. I didn't read the so-called article with that awful headline, so I had no idea what A$AP Rocky was.

Rebellious rodent: Rat walking tightrope on Napier power line stuns, baffles

It's a story about how someone saw a rat walking on a power line. That made the news, in between articles from months ago that the Herald is reprinting. It really is a slow news day.

I don't know what's baffling about a rat on a power line.

Obviously it's not going to get a shock, unless it has the world's longest tail to strike the other wire.

Rats are well-known for climbing. The power line would be easy to grasp.

Frightening is their swimming, even under water. They pop up in toilets with some frequency.

Had to think twice when I saw this headline in Stuff today. Thought maybe it was sposed to be on an Australian news site...  :-)  But it was just about lifeguard rescues from inflatable toys blowing out to sea at the beach.

Close call on inflatable sheep

Although quirky and at times mildly amusing, most of the events listed could have taken place pretty much anywhere.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Fish *are* tasty, but I am fairly sure that is not what they meant...

RNZ: Bay of Plenty councillors’ New Year’s resolutions

In contrast to a post I made last year about "Bay of Plenty" elections that only mentioned Tauranga, this article only mentions the Whakatane and Opotiki districts. Despite that, the photo at the top appears to be of Moturiki Island, which is in neither of those districts.

I did a cooking class a while back and one of the (kiwi) students asked whether tongs were a "unique Kiwi invention only found in NZ kitchens?"

Some people drink far too much of the Kool Aid and believe the publicity!
