I've had a somewhat topsy turvey experience with mobile phones this year!  Strated the year with Telecom post paid which suited well, but then purchased a fake Sharp phone in Shanghai.  It only worked with Vodafone SIM cards, so swapped to Vodafone!  Then decided the fake Sharp was too fake and bought a Nokia 2380, which I am still using.

Next episode, I wanted to have only one account for landline, broadband and mobile so changed all to Orcon, where I had my broadband.  Cell phone never ever worked, and Orcon never ever managed to get it working.  So - back to Vodafone for mobile, but presently realising 2degrees had the best deal for mobile.

After some fiddling started accessing the Internet from my phone, and love that facility when I'm away from home and the computer!  I am simply now using my credit prior to changing to 2degrees.  Winning an Android would be a bonus to say the least!

I just took this photo now of my phone that ive had since 2004 you have to press really hard on the buttons to get it going..the sound has completely gone on it you have to recharge the battery everyday even if the phone has not been used and if its fully charged and someone calls me it goes dead after about 5minutes of talk time, Ive only had this phone and another second hand one i got last year that ill post tomorrow.

As much as I get jealous when I see ppl playing for ages on their cellphones I just cant afford a new one

Sorry i guess my post doesnt show the picture automatically dunno how to do that
but uploaded my picture to this site and posted the link if thats ok

I have a Nokia 6121 CLASSIC!! It sure is classic! Its my work and personal phone and never leaves my side. Its like a dog, my faithful dog that sometimes has epilectic fits and froths at the mouth but you still love it. When it has fits i have to remove the battery and turn it back on as it gets a blank stare on its face, very annoying. When this happens i struggle to tell it what to do, much like a dog.
It also has dust in the screen, making it hard to read whose calling for those moments when you go "oooohhh should i answer that or not?" It reminded me of my nana who has glaucoma and how she must view the world through this hazy dust ridden environment.
It has video calling functions but that went out the window one day mysteriously and never returned. I feel incomplete with a phone such as this...I cant even get on the internet to see if Ive been paid or not as that function has given up too. A new IDEOS Android given to me would be like giving myself to Allah and receiving my 40 virgins...ohh the joy!

I currently have a Sony Ericsson W995a(yes xt version) on 2 degress(so no 3g for me :( ) and would really love a droid phone to step into the smartphone arena :)

Yes I have multitasking already with the W995a, gps, ec, etc, but no apps!

Also my phone seems to be getting old due to the receeding hairline and ungroomed beard!
Please help me finally get a smartphone!

I would like to win this phone as my N97 that i currently use on XT suffered some damage almost immediately after i got it and now it loses reception for up to a few hours a day.
This usually happens just after i send a txt, i wont be able to read the reply until my reception comes back hours later.

Turning it off and on changes nothing, changing to the "offline" profile changes nothing.
Anything that seems to work in the end just turns out to be coincidental.

I had saved for a Galaxy S but was waiting to see if the GPS issues had been sorted, then while playing indoor soccer i kicked another players leg a bit too hard and broke my own.

Being off work for 6 weeks used up my savings and my N97 made the time so much more boring not being able to text half the time.

Im ready to throw it out the window, infact if it were a condition of me winning the phone i would video the destruction of the N97 and post for all to see.

thanks.

I have a Sanyo clam shell phone with only 5MB of internal memory, no expansion and a 0.3MP camera. I would love to win a new phone please because I am sick of crappy specs.

I'm using a vodafone branded... well, I don't actually know what it is any more. I tried googling it and found a bunch of newer models, which themselves look very dated. Whatever the case, I do need a new phone but not a new sim card since I moved to 2degrees the moment I could buy a sim card at Foodtown. If I was to win the phone I would go straight onto the new $29 monthly plan.

Ive got a sayno 8500 which is an insurance replacement from a lost sayno 8300. Its meant to be a step up, but apart from having the crapiest designed media player (you cant even put it on random or skip songs properly) and they annoying buttons, its kind of the same! Its probably time I stepped up to something that doesnt just text!
