They do. I just wish their website headlines would make it easier for their readers to differentiate between this and the other crud they publish.

Said crud, combined with their frequent incompetent error-checking, grammar and spelling, and the way they have prostituted themselves to some questionable 'paid promoters' makes them a great target for mockery and a few sniggers here on GZ.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Someone pointed out the line about "Labneh" to me the other day - it's STILL not been removed from the quiz.

The runway was closed to landing aircraft for no more than 15 minutes and despite what that article says departures still took place.

A classic case of don't believe everything you read in the news.

I know for a fact that the photo reported as showing the airport staff working on the runway at 7 pm last night could not have been taken any later than 6:20 pm. The runway closed at about 6:10 pm and was reopened just after 6:20 pm certainly before 6:25 pm.

What else in that article is fabricated nonsense?

Potentially getting a time wrong by 40 minutes doesn't rise to the level of calling it "fabricated nonsense" imo.

Perhaps it's the result of conflating a photo of an event with the timing of an announcement of an event like the runway opening and then making it worse by rounding to the nearest hour:

If correct 100% agree it's bad basic reportage. Fabricated nonsense is no doubt correct from the point of view of a pilot or aviation professional relying on exact times to the minute.

The iceberg called A-68 originally broke free from Antarctica's Larsen Ice Shelf in 2017 and weighs 12,000 kg.

When the iceberg broke off the glacier, an act called "carving", the A-68 had an area of about 6000 sq km, about six times larger than Auckland.

Scientists will be watching the iceberg's movements as the A-68 could be a threat to ships out on the open ocean.

Actually, it's called "calving".

Weighing 12,000kg, so that's 12,000 litres = 12 cu metres, plus 4% for ice being less dense than water. (Can we get it to Auckland before the reservoirs run dry?)

And an area of 6,000 sq km = 6 Billion sq metres, so 12/6E9 = 2nm = 7 molecules thick.

Somehow I don't see this as a threat to shipping.

Every couple of months I log into Yahoo to check my (spam) email there.

On the frontpage of Yahoo today I found out Kristen Bell's daughter washed her hair with vaseline:

However, with the help of her internet family, Kristen did manage to find a possible solution as she was advised to use washing-up liquid on her daughter's hair.
