Deamo:

Oh, also the different marketing lists companies use to email you, so unsubscribing does nothing.

And then there's the clever behaviour of Outlook Office 365 Web Online or whatever it's called this week, which doesn't block spam addresses no matter what you do: Block, Mark as Spam, Report Phishing, the same spam turns up again the following day. And the day after. And the day after that.

I got to a form that lists all the different newsletters and lets you unsubscribe from whichever you want by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of one of their emails. Doing this brought up a form to unsubscribe from just that one mailing list, but at the bottom of the page there was a link that said "Manage my other AA email preferences". Clicking on that got me to a form with 17 different mailing lists that I could unsubscribe from as well as a tickbox at the bottom of the page to unsubscribe from ALL AA emails. Sorry I can't give you a direct link, it seems to be personalised to me.

The expectation that you know your way around specialist proprietary software just because you're "good with computers".

This weather.

I know Spring is normally changeable in Auckland, but that would imply change - as opposed to the constant downpours, thunderstorms and wind.

One of the neighbour's friends regularly comes up the street, pulls into my driveway to turn around, then sits outside the neighbour's place for 5-10 minutes with the (noisy) engine running.

I feel your pain, there is a proposal to make all the open roads in the Wairarapa 80kph.

It should be easy to get both of those thrown out since there's no such unit as a "kph" (kilopico hour).

For people opposed to this who want to file submissions, there's been a bunch of research done on it overseas, in particular A/B comparisons where speed limits were dropped in city region A and kept the same in city region B. Result: Zip. Zero. Nada. No difference in accident rates.

No references, sorry, read about it ages ago in the context of the importance of A/B testing so I don't have more details.
