geoffwnz:How did they measure the colour output?
That's what I was wondering, do they actually keep a spectrometer in each garage to ensure that lights are within 20nm of the same wavelength?

My car being failed for its WOF due to an imperceptible difference between the colour of the front indicator bulbs. Both bulbs working correctly both bulbs orange in colour. I have video proof.
My thoughts, an excuse to fail a twenty year old car and keep their "fail" stats looking OK. Much.
How did they measure the colour output?
Just by looking at it. The guy that did it just walked away when I questioned the fail. Left it to the office girl to justify.

That seems more than a little dodgy.

This is BS from them. From the manual, the indicators fail if:
d) not approximately equal in colour or intensity from the other lamp in a pair, or
So they only need to be approximately equal. Even if there's a small perceptible difference, they are approximately equal.
Sounds like they are trying to drum up business.

Bung:
They shouldn't need to measure anything. The requirement is only for both indicator lamps in a pair to be "approximately equal intensity, colour and frequency"
Probably an ego thing there?
Equal is subjective. So they can do whatever they like.
I'd lodge a complaint. Can you go to another WOF place, or does it need to be the same? If I was annoyed, which I would be, I'd shine them up with cheap dish detergent, then go back. You have failed , you have come back (so by default you have remedied it) PASS
Then lodge a complaint, and push back.

I know they don't need to measure it, but I was intrigued as to how it was determined they were "slightly different". And as answered, by eye from some ego tripper who was determined to "fail" something. Eyeballing a pair of lights from different angles since it's near on impossible to get the exact same angle and lighting conditions for both light would have earned them a robust conversation and a request for written proof of both the requirements and the failure to comply so I could submit both as evidence with my complaint.
A female friend took her car (an early Toyota Levin) for a wof and then turned up at my place saying they'd failed it for missing a swaybar. This seemed odd since it was stock standard and had not, as far as I knew, been modified. Checked with Toyota NZ for the parts list for that model and confirmed that no, they never had one and without fabrication, could not easily have one fitted. I sent my friend back with that info and the invitation for them to call either me or Toyota to confirm. Apparently the Manager didn't even need to check, just looked at the car, looked sheepish and suggested that an error had been made.

The online shop of a discounter who split the customer’s first order into two parts, delivered one correctly and tried to deliver the second to a DHL‘s Packstation using DPD parcel service (and of course it could not be delivered). How can one be so "intelligent"?

What model Levin? Seems strange AE86 models had front and rear swaybars. It was a rear drive sport model after all. Plenty of aftermarket alternatives available. Ordinary Corollas didn't have rear bars as standard.
Not that model of Levin. Might have been a Trueno. Nothing flash, two door, front drive, used more oil than fuel. But definitely not a model that ever had the "missing" swaybar.

What surprised me was there were limits on milk which was normally priced. Has anyone else noticed milk limits?

I never shop at Pac n Save, I hate the place. I have not noticed any limits at Countdown. Occasionally there maybe limits at New World,
Also dislike PnS stores but they are significantly cheaper. So we shop PnS online and click n collect. Beats going inside, avoids random purchases, everything is packed for you and saves an immense amount of time. A PnS owner I know tells me click and collect loses money - significantly, but they have to offer it for brand purposes.

Maybe they've had commercial businesses cleaning out their supplies? See a lot of small business owners heaping trolley-loads of the same product at P&S.
