This wasn't a free shipping purchase but I have an order from Amazon due to arrive on 8 April.  The strange thing is that on the i-Parcel website, the last status is that it is in transit to the country of destination.  Yet on Amazon's website it shows it has arrived at the country of destination.  Strange as in I would have thought Amazon got their tracking info from i-Parcel?  Not so strange I guess given how woeful parcel tracking is in general...

I was all lined up to purchase some items last week, and then got rejected at the checkout approval stage.  Turns out I'd slipped to the 'free shipping' and not the 'international shipping' search filter.  When I re applied this, and went back to the relevant department, none of my items were available any more.  Youship etc was an option, but the items I was looking at were a bargain with free shipping, but not worth it with additional shipping charges.

So... be careful to check your items are actually eligible for international shipping is the moral of the story...

I just ordered some stuff from amazon with free shipping on march 21st and it all arrived today (via iparcel).  That is 8 days ahead of schedule which is OK.

The iparcel website is really unprofessional with spelling mistakes and the like. The 'held up' message is somewhat confusing too.

But, i'm happy. Some more stuff should be arriving later this week too as a placed a few orders in a few days.   I was wondering if customs would consolidate them and ping me for going over $400 but they haven't done that.

If Amazon won't give you free shipping at checkout, try emailing them and see if they will change it. This worked for me, they just adjusted the shipping cost after I placed the order.

There are conditions for the free shipping. Items must be sold by and shipped from Amazon. Third party retailers aren't included.

Some things I am looking at have this on the description:

  • Shipping: This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S.
  • Shipping Advisory: This item must be shipped separately from other items in your order. Additional shipping charges will not apply

I would need to get several of them to get over the threshold for free international. Has anyone ordered things like that before and still had it work for free shipping. I was browsing with the global eligable check box checked, just dont want to get pinged shipping on things.

Also anyone know the deal with the "add on" items? It has the thing about select countries in the description at the bottom of this.

http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Pete-Soda-Mix-16-9/dp/B0049QLDDY?tag=geekzone-20 - Ive just seen that they have all the awesome flavours with the select countries option on them.

You can't buy individual Add-on Items, but you can add to a cart with other items. That's all...

He's referring to the comments/answers 2 prior sellers have left about not sending overseas, however given it's fulfilled by amazon they probably would ship it..
