Costco is potentially a great way for some of the lower cost electric cars to retail or test market in NZ.

It occurs to me Costco is the only major standalone retailer in NZ I can think of without vehicle charging today..

Only problem is that pretty much all the low cost manufacturers are Chinese,  and Costco is a major US corporate...

Costco lowers prices by global buying and selling, unless they are flogging them in the US, don't expect them here..

AU and NZ bring Costco much closer to asia-pacific. I would not rule it out.

Costco lowers prices by streamlining.
Lots of products here, that are not sold in USA - just go and look in the store.
Most of the produce, meat & small & baked goods are from NZ or Australia.

People spout a lot of BS about Costco.

There are more Costco outlets in China+Taiwan than there are in Australia+NZ.
More in Korea than in Australia+NZ.
More in Japan than in Australia+NZ.

So I doubt we're having much influence on their global/Asia behaviour.

It'd be nice to get more of the Costco features into NZ like the digital membership card and 'executive' (2% cashback) :)

We have the membership in the app now, but I set it up on one phone and it seems device specific because its not there on the others and I CBF dealing with the line again so just take the card with me.

I would like the online shopping to happen like in AU, different things and no hassle of taking people to lift and transport things since the staff seem to be unable to do much with heavy things in the store.

Is the digital membership card the one on the Costco app? Or something different?

It is @Dingbatt. When I left NZ - it wasn't an option on the app :)

In NZ I asked someone on the counter or the door for an assist on a heavy item. They called up a guy it wasn't an issue. From the shelf through the lift and carpark and into my car.

I got my golf clubs from Costco - hadn't played in about 20 years and my last set were junior ones. Callaway Edge set, they seem good so far, the putter especially feels nice. Might need some more wedge options but I've heard the Kirkland ones are good so maybe I'll pick those up.
