You just have to risk making a few disasters.

This is a risk with no downside :) -- worst case, you get to drink a great cupo of coffee.

I like Hedges and Agapanthus, but not when the owners let them wonder across public footpaths.
I'll also add low hanging trees that flick you in the face as you walk past.

Speculatory hedges. Marveling Agapanthi. Where will this vegetative contemplation end? Sentient wormwood?

I found it works best to cut the head off with a sharp spade and paint the cut-off end with glyphosate.

Does that work on killing the whole plant? Tried that with arum lilies and at most it discouraged them a bit.

I have found it works - eventually. May need to repeat as any dormant seeds or rhizomes in the ground will grow back.

The hardest thing I've ever had to get rid of was Acanthus/Oyster Plant/Bears Breeches. That stuff just keeps coming back from fragments in the soil so requires persistence over months or years to finally get rid of it.

That this is allowed to happen here in NZ.

Not just that the crime happened, but that the family of the accused turned up and disrespected the victim so completely.

They're all complicit in the crime as far as I am concerned. I have no doubt that these "supporters" are the enablers that moulded these two young thugs into the murderous scum they are today.

It’s at times like this when I prefer a more medieval approach to justice.

The fact that concert venues have such uncomfortable seating.

If I can get Gold Class in the cinema, why can’t I get it to watch music?

Geektastic: The fact that concert venues have such uncomfortable seating.

We went to a concert in New Plymouth.

The seats were plastic with no arm rests. Two larger girls almost had a fist fight over who was going to sit next door to the skinny girl so they could "share" her seat.

We we so closely pack I dare not clap or It could have been confused as indecent assault or a proposal for marriage with the girl next to me (wife on other side of me)

The seats were cabled tied to each other. When we left these became "snakes" that you got tangled in. During an emergency they would have been lethal

The number of people in the venue way exceeded the capacity limit that was written on the wall, and then you have to take into account that 25% of the capacity was taken up by a stage.

Wrote to the NP council and got fobbed off, I am sure all they cared about was the money if bought in.

Never been back there for another concert and never will. I was the WORST concert experience I have ever had.

BEST concert we have been to was Elton John in Vegas.

Great seats, comfy seats, excellent venue and a brilliant performance.

Equally enjoyed Penn and Teller at a different venue in Vegas

Best of all, the prices were very reasonable.

Mine was in the Auckland events centre/showgrounds where the organisers realised they could save money by moving the performance, and the audience, from a large main hall into a smaller side-hall. Not only was it a no-seating performance (again, saved a bit of money there) but they didn't bother to downsize the sound setup for a volume maybe half to a third the size of what it was intended for. Never been back for another show since then.

Intersections with a combined straight ahead and turn right lane where the traffic lights allow you to either turn right or go straight ahead but not both at the same time. You end up with 1 person with a red arrow holding up a dozen cars behind them wanting to go straight ahead on a green light but they can't (or vice versa).

I get that you can't always have a dedicated turn tight lane but if you must combine them at least design the lights so both sets of traffic can move at the same time.

I love Penn & Teller. So good at what they do.

We were at Sting in Christchurch Arena.

Not the worst seats but no leg room and because nobody will sit still and listen, the seat rows were bouncing and wobbling.

I’ve got a fractured vertebra at the moment and bouncing seats I don’t need.

Penn and Teller are great. I also saw them in vegas and got to talk to them afterward which was cool.

Two of my favourite things they have done is their vaccination bit, and the other was their cameo on the West Wing where they do a show for the Presidents daughter.
