BEST concert we have been to was Elton John in Vegas.

Equally enjoyed Penn and Teller at a different venue in Vegas

Best of all, the prices were very reasonable.

Right... because they're a loss-leader to pull you into the casino.

I've had no problem availing myself of the many benefits available in casinos without gambing.

That this is allowed to happen here in NZ.

Ummmm... this isn't allowed to happen in NZ.

People can't congregate outside a courtroom be it a street or the waiting area?  If you're on the jury service here in Palmy you walk out of the meeting room at the end of a corridor and through the waiting area where you get eye-balled by all n sundry.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Gutted that the Hybrid Burger which is NZ's best burger in my opinion, has been removed from the menu. It was a limited-time offer that ran for quite a while, but it's so excellent.

It's still showing on their website.

Tauranga gets, I dunno 20 or 30 km of shiny smooth new blacktop, Whakatane gets about 20 or 30 metres of shiny smooth new blacktop down Commerce Street.

It was looking quite a bit coarser and dirtier by day 2!

So was I and I didn't even go to Tauranga.

We go in with $20 each and when that is all gone we leave. We don't gamble as such, we spent more money shopping in Vegas for the grandkids.

Spying/begging. I went to a retailer's site, where I have an account, and the account logged in automatically via the saved cookie. I clicked around for a few minutes and found that they didn't have what I wanted, so I closed the browser and went elsewhere.

Half an hour later I got an email "reminding" me that I haven't completed placing an order!

Penn and Teller are great. I also saw them in vegas and got to talk to them afterward which was cool.

Two of my favourite things they have done is their vaccination bit, and the other was their cameo on the West Wing where they do a show for the Presidents daughter.

I liked the water one they did where they were selling from a water menu and it was all the same stuff from a hosepipe outside the restaurant!

Then they got lots of eco crusties to sign a petition to ban Di-Hydrogen Oxide. Very funny.

That show where magicians try and fool them is pretty good too.

Skinny voicemail. "This message was received... today... 8... March... two... thousand... and... twenty... three..."

What's wrong with just "today"?

"To listen to the next message, press 1. To delete it, press 2."

Why would I want to delete it if I don't know what it says? But pressing 2 actually deletes the current message.

Didn't use to be so bad when they at least offered you a discount!
