And further, an employer might suffer financial, operational and logistical costs due to a strike whereas there are none with a teacher's strike. The inconvenience is 100% on the parents and the loss of education is 100% on the students.

So what you are saying is the strike impacts those that it will make a difference to.

That is the idea of a strike.

And the government does suffer....come election time.

Handsomedan:

He was parked in what looked like a small car spot - i.e. a car parking space for a small car. It had a single yellow line at the gutter (at the head of the space, which he couldn't clearly see when parking).

A single yellow line is not a broken yellow line.

"A driver or person in charge of a vehicle must not stop, stand, or park the vehicle on any part of a roadway where the road controlling authority has marked a broken yellow line parallel to, and at a distance of not more than 1 m from, the edge of the roadway."

Paying for (Amazon) Prime video streaming then travel to Canada and find the show I want to watch on Prime isn't on Prime in Canada, it's on something called "Crave".

No problem. VPN to NZ?

No. "You're on a VPN. Piss off".....though they used more and different words.

OK....TPB here I come. I've paid for this.

Road signs that mean nothing. In Rotorua a big digital sign went up in a few places saying Malfroy Rd will be closed Mon Tues Wed of this week from 6am to 6pm. Now if anyone knows Rotorua that is a hell of a thing to do, there are 3 schools on it. Well i found out today they had closed a road but it was Ranolf St and i was caught out. so who knows what they will close tomorrow, mind you it makes driving where you want to go an adventure.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Just out of curiosity, which ones are those? We've got a ton of Sistema and never had any problems with them.

They changed how the clips work sometime recently (they still don't seal properly) and they are much harder to open now.

These ones where the lock is fitted to the lid. The lids tend to jam on.

All the guys at work who have them for lunch boxes hate them.

Ah, OK. Just checked and all of ours are the original style. Dammit, looks like we'll have to hoard these, I've occasionally given some away when there were too many, they seem to reproduce in dark cupboards.

For people having problems with them, have you considered writing to Sistema telling them how bad the new design is? Unless they get feedback they're unlikely to fix it.

Given feedback they'll probably think the solution is a plastic lever free with 6 or more containers. The old round spaghetti containers have the clips on the lid but they are quite short and you can still thumb them open.

When I had a look at our lot that was the only one I could see that had the clips on the lid, and I do find that quite annoying to open because you have to fiddle with four small clips rather than just flap down two of them like with the clips-on-the-base design.

Get a photo of this before they can change it. You should dispute this ticket if it is as described.

Having spent a good chunk of the afternoon setting this up, across multiple drawers:

to find that the overall amount of stuff stacked on shelves hasn't noticeably decreased.
