neb: Having spent a good chunk of the afternoon setting this up, across multiple drawers: to find that the overall amount of stuff stacked on shelves hasn't noticeably decreased.

Road signs that mean nothing. In Rotorua a big digital sign went up in a few places saying Malfroy Rd will be closed Mon Tues Wed of this week from 6am to 6pm. Now if anyone knows Rotorua that is a hell of a thing to do, there are 3 schools on it. Well i found out today they had closed a road but it was Ranolf St and i was caught out. so who knows what they will close tomorrow, mind you it makes driving where you want to go an adventure.

Because cash handling equipment is expensive and seldom gets used so why put it on all checkouts?

Plus, it does help the flow of customers going through, Especially at busy periods. But that's excluding any issues with items scanning or needing Checkout Supervisor assistance (i.e Liquor sales)

so if your only paying by card, then you don't need to wait for other customers who still like to use Cash or require cash out! using Shop and Go and Scan and Go also helps with this too

Also with self checkout, people that dont seem to know about the volume control to turn it down when they're using it.

Eva888: Or because I have scanned zero alcohol beer, having to wait for a supervisor to permit the sale.

Personally, I'm OK with even 0% beer being a restricted item. Should we let kids buy it?

Or the machines has you tap and they start to acknowledge its a card only machine but then at the end you have to press another button to select pay by card..

And in the case of New World, the "pay by card" button moving depending on whether that particular machine takes cash. Muscle memory? Can't have that!
