My neighbour putting their recycling in my bin. I wouldn't normally have a problem with that, except they put quite a bit in and it's nearly full now. There's still a week to go before it gets emptied.

I'm highly tempted to be passive aggressive and not bother putting it out for collection. It'll be full for the next two weeks and they'll have to make do with their bin. I'll get by.

Was this meant for the something small that annoys you thread?

I'd take it out and put it by their door.

Headline: Coronavirus: 29 countries stop sending post to NZ
Article text: About 29 countries have stopped sending post to New Zealand completely due to them having no way of getting things here, a spokesperson for NZ Post said.

So is it 29 or not? And which countries?! ...strewth.

Also " ...Some countries have resorted to seafreight"
Some? How many? Which ones?

It's not inaccurate at all. It is not specific, which is annoying. All it really provides is an indication there are 3rd party problems with intl inbound and intl delivery. The reader is left to their own devices to find specific info on intl senders and intl destinations affected.

It’s just the difference between journalism and reporting.

Journalism; Get a press release, do some digging, get more information, decipher what would be useful or of interest,

Reporting; Get press release, cut and paste.

NZ last in vaccine queue [stuff.co.nz]

There's no vaccine yet, and certainly no queuing for something that doesn't exist; and yet apparently we *WILL* be last, no questions asked.

Surely we can do without rampant scaremongering?

The other way to read this is - we really would like some more funding for our university / research departments and this whole covid thing is front of mind.

Possibly related to the title of this YouTube vid:

Technically accurate, annoying headline.

Why does Stuff think that Dame Marilyn Waring is getting another DNZM to go with the one she got in the New Year Honours list?
