Handsomedan:

It's like when we're out for a breakfast with the family and the menu simply states Bacon and eggs with toast then it arrives and there's sauces and other runny/unwated guff on the plate that was not on the menu.

My kids don't like sauces and I don't like Mayo. Make it clear what you are serving!

Balsamic is the one that gets me   I *loath* the stuff and its never listed on the menu, then your mince on toast turns up with that drizzled all over it.

I regularly ask and am simple amazed at how many dishes they put it on

Green stuff added to scrambled eggs - Grrr!

I ordered a "bacon and egg pie" once and ended up with a thing that was full of spinach, broccoli, and perhaps one egg and three tiny pieces of bacon. Never again.

Bit of worry that media (some) wouldn't know the difference between a bull and a cow! Example. A cow might be ok with you crossing the paddock, but with a bull you better be a sprinter!

It's probably Worcestershire Sauce, that and Mustard supply the flavour to English cooking.

Wow. Is it all balsamic or the sweet syrupy ones? Do you like other vinegars? Just interested as I sit on the other extreme and have 8 or so bottles of different types :)

Not all bulls have the temperament of the Spanish ones bred to be tortured.

I'd think the key difference to be most aware of is which one to milk for drinking.

I haven't heard my phone ring in about 10years. Seriously it's been on silent since forever, I couldn't even tell you what my ring tone is. If I'm expecting a phone call its in my pocket and I can hear it vibrate. If I'm not expecting a phone call then at least I'm not disturbing anyone else while it goes to voicemail. The only time I hear my phone is when my alarm goes off in the morning or when a timer finishes to remind me to take the beer out of the freezer that I put in there to chill quickly.

"Ticket status: Closed.

Closure reason: Customer no longer wants assistance."

I've got recursive tickets open with our support monkeys along the lines of "Previous ticket is being ignored by support".

The recursive tickets are also being ignored.

Handsomedan:

Small business owners in particular can be quite irritating.

Ran into quite possibly the rudest person I've ever met a few weeks back while helping my neighbour sort out his mobility scooter at Auckland Mobility Warehouse (and I'll name the place because the service was so shocking). Right from the start, when he sat there typing away on his computer for some time completely ignoring the customers standing there waiting, including the one having trouble standing, through to calling his customers idiots, asked things like "didn't you hear what I just told you?" when one of them wanted to confirm something and in general just being rude and abusive towards them, said he wasn't taking the batteries they'd just spent hundreds of dollars on back if there was a problem, my neighbour commented afterwards that "there's someone who's lost interest in running his business".

Bung: Make it the agents problem. If it's only a day the previous owner should still have it. Did they also take the light bulbs and the element out of the water heater?

No, but I'm pretty sure there was carpet covering the bare particle board flooring when we viewed the place originally.

Yeah, they could at least hold their hand in front of their face when they sneeze.

This is the same country that produced that ad some years ago with the punchline "Does he know that's a boy cow?", so it's quite likely that a lot of them don't know the difference, including whoever wrote that story.

I think it's Indian immigrants that supply the flavour to English cooking.
