Handsomedan:

Waking up on a Monday morning tired and feeling unwell, due to a restless dog and idiots in cars doing donuts somewhere nearby (within earshot, but not actually in our neighbourhood).

We had a massively productive weekend, both work and personal, but yeah, Monday AM and I feel exhausted. I feel for you if you also feel unwell.

I am retired so every day is pretty much the same for me, but aren't weekends supposed to be for rest and recreation?

Supposed to be. Problem with being a workaholic I guess!

Before we shuttered our businesses late last year the weekend really only meant a change of pace or venue for work. Don't miss it all.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

The fact that AFAICT, it is not possible to get Apple Health to tell me how many Kms I have covered in a year.

Standing in line at a food takeaway place, and the staff prioritising Menulog/Uber Eats orders coming in after you've lined up.

I'm a customer who has got off their arse to come to your business, and you're prioritising some lazy bastard who ordered after me. I'm here right now, prioritise your real (regular) customer !

They do the same with drive through orders.

The problem there is that they get dinged if they're late with a Menulog/Uber Eats order, so they have to prioritise them whether they want to or not.

My parcel from Bangood has ben stuck at MPI for 12 days.  I suspect because it contains a pair of feather boards, which have nothing to do with bird feathers and are in fact plastic woodworking tools.  A quick google would reveal that, especially as they are packaged with a wood plane.

On a plus note, Bangood chat was very responsive.

Strange, my Aliexpress ones came through without delay, perhaps because the description was more generic, "woodworking tools" or something. I can see that "feather boards" (looking like animal products attached to wood products) would trigger alarms, moving them into the much slower manual-processing-required channel rather than the automated cleared-instantly one.

Measuring tapes with clips made of sticking out metal with sharp edges. You put it down on a table and it scratches the wood if someone drags it up. Been annoying me for ages and today I realised there is one tiny screw holding it. I’ve just removed that clip from three measuring tapes and satisfyingly can put the measure on a table and it lays flat instead of teetering on the clip and making me feel tense every time a kid or someone pushes it.

That's the first thing I do with any measuring tape I have, remove the *&^&* clip. Has anyone ever seen a builder clip one of those things to their belt? Power tools clip on, hammers go into a loop, and tapes into a pocket, I've never seen the tape clip actually used as a clip.

Really? I've seen and used it on my belt many times.

I have an old Rabone tape that has a retracting clip, it's flush with the tape body when retracted. I still put it in my pocket because I usually wear trackies, thus no belt.
