"Air New Zealand has scored second in a list of airlines with the best safety record in 2016."

Then apparently there was a Hijacking a few years ago.

But safest airline?

Attempted, but I think she stabbed someone? She gets out in a few months, but wants to do it again.

She finishes her sentence - where she was held in a psychiatric unit - but is still subject to a compulsory treatment order, which may be extended indefinitely.

Certainly hope so, she is a walking cannon, literally

Stores that don't update their opening hours for Xmas on their website. So you get to the store within their advertised opening hours, and it is closed, and the opening hours for Xmas / new year break are on the closed store door.

Cars that stop in the middle of the road wanting to turn right on a main road, on a single lane, when there is a yellow line in the middle of the road, in heavy traffic, on a 100km/hr road. It is possibly illegal as I don't think you are supposed to cross a yellow middle line. But so many people seem to do it and it blocks the road, and risks a pileup.

Yes that is what thought you were supposed to do, and in most cases there is room to do that. Although there are some roads where they don't have room to pull over. Or it maybe a double laned road. But I am guessing that is the reason why the yellow line exists, to tell people they shouldn't cross the road in that part of the road

Even worse are those people in the same situation who signal right AND then pull over to the left....

Had that happen to me as I was attempting to pass them on the inside, assuming that they were indeed going to stop in the middle of the road!

I once was in the 'thatched area', indicating a right turn, in a queue of traffic in the same position as me, the lights turned green and a driver in the straight ahead lane pulled into the right turning lane (without indicating) almost hitting me. Of course I remonstrated and at the next lights the driver jumped out and abused me. I asked why he wasn't in the 'thatched' queue and why didn't he indicate; he told me that it was illegal to use that 'thatched area' and indicating was 'optional'. Some people ......how do they get away without being pulled over by the police?

It is permitted to turn right from the centre line if conditions permit

Making a right turn on a road with a centre line

In this situation:

slow down before you turn
check your mirrors and look over your right shoulder to check your blind spot
signal for at least three seconds
move towards to the centre line
turn when safe to a similar position in the road.

Making a right turn from the left-hand side of the road

If there are other vehicles moving fast or following too closely, or if the road is narrow, it may be best to wait on the left-hand side of the road to make the turn, rather than stopping in the middle of the road and holding up traffic.

In this situation:

signal left for at least three seconds
move across to the left-hand side of the road
wait there until it is safe to turn
signal right for at least three seconds before you turn
move when it is safe.

If a vehicle in front of you has also stopped to turn right, it's best to wait behind them and then use the same position to turn from.

I'm pretty sure it used to be compulsory to pull over on the left before turning right when on the open road, and was a regular question in license tests when I first got my license in the '70s.

I think it may have changed when they changed the give-way at intersections rules (in the early '80s?) - now reverted. That was supposed to make it easier to turn right and improve traffic flow, but seldom worked well - especially when people turning left didn't bother to indicate.

It would certainly differ from much of (for example) Europe were that the case, where the following traffic would be expected to wait or to pass safely on the inside if possible. Mind you in a road system where you can have traffic merging from the centre of the road, anything is possible I suppose...
