Indeed. There's actually no excuse for it at all in an elightened age.

Contacted three different companies yesterday using forms on their website. A car dealership, an electrician company and an upholster business.
More than 24 hours later, no reply from any of them.
You'd think the car dealership would be the most keen for business. It seems not.
I have a very low level of trust that a website form will work for the following reasons

I have a very low level of trust that a website form will work for the following reasons
- The form was never tested properly
- Someone has made changes and broken it's functionality
- The original recipient no longer works there and that email is no longer monitored
- The recipient is away on leave and no one else is tasked to to look after the queries.
And in all cases, give them a bad review because its not the person filling the forms in problem.
I still remember an incident from years ago. We had a paid support contract with a vendor, and I filled in the support form. After more than a week I chased them up via a different contact method.
Them: You used the wrong form.
Me: Can you please advise the correct form?
Them: *Sends the URL to the root of their website*
Me: Yes I went to your home page, clicked Support, then X, then Y, and ended up at [URL]. Is that not the right form?
Them: *Goes completely silent*
i recently sent in a question through Email to a well known company , nothing for days and then received an Email from company saying please tell us how the service was. I had fun with that one.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
Another one from the same vendor as my previous post: as well as the paid support option, there's a community forum. If you post a question on there and wait a week, you'll get an email saying that you haven't marked a response as an answer, and to please do so. Never mind that nobody's responded to the question because it's in the too-hard basket.
Discovery Networks killing off any link with The Project.
I was busy on the night of their last show, so I wanted to watch it on 3Now.
It's nowhere to be found. You can find clips on Youtube, but not whole episodes. None are from "legitimate sources".
It's like The Project never existed. No mention of it on their site, no ability to watch old episodes, nothing.
I know Discovery shelved it due to the licensing costs etc, but surely they didn't just cut the cord right then and there and lose the ability to air programmes they'd aired previously?
Very annoying.

Recording a video walkthrough of something in Auckland that my wife needs to see.
Finding that my Mac did not save it, ask me if I wanted to save it etc and appears to have discarded it. 🤬

I dunno. In my view , the damage was done to an inanimate object, no one was hurt and another object can be made if desired.
It's all part of 'the conversation'.
I went to Waitangi with the family a couple of years ago. It's a nice place to visit, has great exhibits and if you learn anything about the signing of the treaty while you're there, you'll learn that's where the kiwi she'll be right attitude started out, cos that document and it's (mis) translations was a dogs breakfast :-)

Damaging something that doesn't belong to you is not OK.
If your neighbour plays loud music that's not to your taste are you going to break into their house and smash up their audio system?
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

That's what you would teach a child, but as we know , life has a lot more grey areas than that.
For example, I see a distressed baby, left alone in a closed car on a hot sunny day, no adult to be seen.
I break the window to save the baby's life.
Most people would agree damaging something that doesn't belong to you is OK, depending on the circumstances.
The details of those circumstances is where the conversation happens.

On the topic of email forms... trying to make a warranty claim on a KitchenAid product.
First of all the reCAPTCHA or whatever it is keeps expiring. You have to enter all your details and then the model number and serial number, and no matter how fast you type it in it isn't fast enough.
Somehow after trying a dozen times I eventually managed to submit the form with the requested details.
Next day received an email asking for the model number and serial number WHICH WAS SUBMITTED IN THE FORM.
