Yet another delivery from Australia 4 days earlier than a parcel delivered within Auckland (12KM's away).

Don't worry, NZ Post is working to fix that. Ordered something from Amazon AU on Sunday who recorded the carrier as NZ Post. So far I've had one tracking update, "Picked up", and that was four days ago.

Transport people

Twice we called to have a server rack move. Provided the dimensions, mentioned 2 guys would be required, one company sent 1 guy, twice, and the other company said they needed 4 guys.

2 guys delivered it comfortably to our office in the first place.

Countdown / Woolworths has a mouse in the Deli section and they did not throw the food away they just sold it to unsuspecting customers.

Well at least it's solved the riddle of what their Mystery Meat is.

Drive up north on Sunday for the start of our holiday, around Silverdale I see and ambulance in the rear view mirror, I was in the left lane anyway but someone would not pull over and let them past. I deliberately slowed down to create a massive gap and he finally pulled over, there was tonnes of room before.

On the way back, at one of the stop / go's at the Brynderwyn's we were going south, the ambo was heading north, northbound was stopped so the abmo was slowing getting to the front in the passing lane, two idiots pull out to pass, luckily they pulled back in.

It is amazing how many are driving with there eye's closed.

These people in an ambulance need to get some ware faster than you, pull over and let the past, it only takes a few seconds of your time and quite literally life and death to someone else.

They all have cameras, failure to Yield for an Emergency vehicle is a moving vehicle offense, and they should be reported, and fined.

You watch how quick people become considerate after that :)

I watch a fair bit of Ozzie TV, especially SBS. What increasingly annoys me is the breathy commercials pleading for money for abused animals or deprived children, complete with videos lovingly detailing their unhappy conditions as the children gaze with big eyes and the animals pace at the end of short chains. These blatantly transparent attempts to manipulate people's emotions, instead of just stating their case, make me very suspicious about the motives of those doing the advertising. Sad children and tigers and bears may make people want to give, but how much of that actually goes to the causes being promoted? I imagine the bare minimum necessary to stay just inside the law. These so-called 'charities' belong in the cage with those anguished bears! Or even better, within range of the very upset tigers!

Bear in mind that many charities outsource their fundraising to commercial organisations. So the chap in street raising money for e.g. the WheelBlacks isn't a volunteer contributing his time to a worthy cause; he is in fact an employee, paid on commission, of Adflex Marketing, an Australian firm who specialise in "face to face marketing" and who will also get a substantial cut of the proceeds.

Speaking of things that annoy me...

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

i generally see the ambulance 3 or 4 cars behind me and move over well before they get to me, then watch as they get stuck behind one of the cars that was behind me for 15-20 seconds.

Its another one of those things that people dont get fined for very often. Should be able to go through the footage easily and ticket people.

msukiwi:I used to have great Aramex delivery driver (Rare I know!) who delivered at around 6.40am.

I am near to their depot, yet the new driver I apparently have, has had the parcel for me in their van since yesterday.

I queried (Aramex Office) delivery 2 hours ago, and still no parcel or call back!!!

Still NO delivery or contact from Aramex! Sheesh their service is cr*p!! Phoned again.....same b*llsh*t!

The fact that my favourite pasta sauce brand, Raguletto, has inexplicably vanished from supermarkets without explanation or warning.

To someone like me, that means not eating spaghetti bolognese any more.

Why do businesses here think they are doing you a favour by allowing you to buy their product?

Takes less than a minute to search on brand name and find

"Thank you for your email regarding the Raguletto range of sauces.

Due to shortages of tomato paste in Australia, Raguletto has regrettably had to ceased production."

This was over 9 months ago. Same parent company has continued to produce Leggos branded pasta sauces.
