The incessant media articles on anything Trump related, no matter how trivial or irrelevant.....it's going to be a long 4 years if this keeps up.

Terrible! Terrible! Fake news!

How else will the liberal elite foment discontent in order to revert to Business As Usual unless their fellow travellers in the media keep it front and centre and make sure that they exaggerate the bad parts and ignore the rest?

Yesterday ... stuck in a queue of traffic travelling between 67 - 75km/h on a flat, straight, dry section of SH6 in sunny, calm weather.  The slow vehicle at the front was a motor-trike (empty road in front of it) that had many opportunities to pull over (as required by law) onto a wide flat sealed verge but did not. The queue of traffic also contained a marked highway patrol car.

Cop did nothing ...

Cop disagreed with you about what speed was appropriate?

Rant starting...

  1. People that walk across the front of the lifts right by the doors so you can't step out of the lift without walking into them
  2. People that don't let you out of the lift before they get in
  3. People in Wellington walking under a shop awning with the umbrella up, especially those who are 5ft 5....I'm 6ft.

I never understood why someone needs an umbrella up under an awning. I would also add to your elevator hates people who decide the doorway to an elevator or the top or bottom of an escalator are a really good place for a conference.

Didn't ticket anyone coming the other way doing 100k.  It was a 100k area, light traffic, optimal weather no adverse conditions of any kind.

Also ignored a car that was parked in no a stopping area.  Seeing where he turned off he was heading back to the station  - end of shift and didn't care perhaps?

Kinda sucks when the area traffic safety commander (or whatever their title is) was in the local rag very recently saying they would crack down on slow drivers holding traffic up.

That seem to be recent thing, also on buses.

Also I'm sure people used to walk on the left of the footpath but now it's like Brown's cows.

I wish the liberal elite and their fellow travellers could find a way to put a cork in silly comments like this!

People that stand on escalators and don't move to the left to allow others to walk past.

Try that in Aussie and you will probably get pushed off

people who want to walk up escalators, its the whole point of escalators so you dont have to walk , if not they would be called stairs.

And yet (just back from London) it's accepted world wide that escalators are basically a semi vertical travellator use to assist you on climbing stairs faster?

All underground escalators there state "stand to the right to allow passing traffic" so moving up escalators is essentially directly endorsed by the whole system.

[separate rant, England is a left-hand-side transport system, why only escalators endorse pass on the left??]

And on this... People who walk out of a retail store into the footpath without looking to each side or at least to the side closest to the door. You wouldn't do this when driving, so why do when walking? And yes, people who leave the lifts and stop just after a step to say "Oh, hello" to someone waiting to board, blocking everyone from getting in or out.

Same at work. People have to have meetings in the narrowest part of the corridor.

When I walk past/push through and say "only admirals and first trippers stand in companion ways" I get the "what?" as they carry on
