I've been using YouShop since they started and have noticed in recent times they have started opening the contents of the parcel, not just the box to check the contents

(I import factory sealed Hot Wheels/M2/Matchbox/Greenlight and have noticed that my factory sealed cases are opened by the warehouse, resulting in opened cases - which is not good when you specifically want to keep the case sealed ..)

Has anyone else noticed this change?

I know the "held for clearance" thing has been answered here multiple times, but just wondering if using nzposts brokerage service and paying the $46 would speed up delivery of my parcel thats been held since last week 22nd, or if just waiting it out till customs gets hold of you would be the best choice now?

You can send in a lost parcel request with the tracking number. I did it once but entered the barcode instead of the tracking number so it didn't work so well for me, but once I sent the right info they found it.

Had to use that parcel claim link and found it...it would have had my name on it

Also in the details it says:

From

RETURN CENTER

Wonder if they were getting to return it

Yeah sometimes they don't seem to make much effort to find parcel owners.

Does anyone have any experience with compensation for damaged Youshop packages?

Some of the contents in my latest parcel were damaged. NZ Post are telling me they will buy the contents off me rather than provide compensation.

Weird, but that sounds OK, depending on what it was, albeit a bit of a hassle.

Any youshop discount codes out there? Or are they a thing of the past with the "new" regime?

*bump* Yeah, I was wondering that myself.

I've just tried ordering something from Quiksilver USA via Youshop.  The order has been cancelled, claiming the items are no longer available.  I'm a bit surprised by this since both items are supposedly unavailable, but both are still on their website.  Do any vendors cancel orders simply because they are shipped to a Youshop address??

Yes, they get pressure from the local markup distributors/retailers to not ship to reshippers, and they can blame the US's atrocious credit card fraud rates for the reason.

Doing some backreading now but I'll throw this here.

Does anyone here shipped with an item costing $1K NZD(and above) and required NZCS 224 form by Customs?

Would like to hear about the process, steps. Thank you.

Just received some electronics I sent via Youshop from Amazon (way cheaper than using Amazon global shipping and tax service).

Expected to pay GST and got the email from Post saying needs to be cleared and to pay $48ish for their service. Since it wasn't clear how to clear myself I told them to go ahead and received an email with the total invoice.

Tried to pay using a CC and gave up waiting after being on the phone for over 20 minutes (tried a few times). No online payment process so in the end had to use Internet banking and receive no acknowledgement of payment. Post international at Auckland need to fix their services as it's likely to get busier if Amazon won't ship here.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
