When you see something on a website locally that has no prices unless you login, so you press apply for account, fill it in and then it just says that they will be in touch. No, I don't want you to be in touch. I want to login and see prices.

Annnnddddd, that is when I go elsewhere , which is regularly overseas sites because even with shipping it is still cheaper (and regularly better quality).

I believe it is called "friction" and the more frictionless you make a service available to people the more likely they are to use it, too many NZ companies are bad at this.

Bung: They don't want to fix a price until they've checked your credit rating 😊

Its for TV antenna splitters so not really the sort of thing that needs a credit check.

Electrical wholesaler?

Very close. I need to get some RF splitters to feed my retro TVs, and other assorted cabling stuff. Found one place that seems to have it all but... ugh. When I got some splitters off aliex, they came with a metric or something thread on them so are useless to me.

I was jokingly referring to dynamic pricing that depends on how well dressed you look.

Have you tried the electrical place on Ellce Rd? No prices listed, same as for electrical Web sites, but they've got a good range.

I really want something where I click pictures of what I want and then they turn up rather than having to go to a place that is only open the same hours that I am at work or during Saturday sleep in time.

No wonder police have no time for crime that impacts the average person, they are too busy serving the big business owners...

Talking about stealing and big business. from Ars Technica -

https://arstechnica.com/science/2024/05/outrageously-priced-weight-loss-drugs-could-bankrupt-us-health-care/

'In the US, the estimated net price (after rebates) of Wegovy is $809 per month. In Denmark, the price is $186 per month. A study by researchers at Yale estimated that drugs like Wegovy can be profitably manufactured for less than $5 per month.'

Bet this same shop owner would be all up in the complaints if someone walked into their place and stole the already stolen chocolate too.

Needs the book thrown at them.

Where as my son got ripped off by $1200 by someone in Chch, gave all the info to police who took 6 months to come back and say they "were well known to police" but they would "not take the matter any further."

I know it's probably unreasonable, but when colleagues eat at their desk with food that has strong smells and then they chew loudly.

Just annoys the ever living heck out of me. It's why we've got a kitchen, go eat there. Please.

Not really, but in some places you have to eat at your desk to avoid being exposed to all the dumb being spouted in the lunchroom by ignorant moron conspiracy theory following nuckledraggers.
