It really pisses me off when you purchase something second hand (Define R5 case) specifically for the feature (the HDD capacity) at a reasonable but not super cheap price, your friend goes and picks it up for you (as you live in hawkes bay but the case is in wellington) and all looks good.

Then you go pick it up after having driven from Hastings to Wellington and back. Open it up to find..... The knob has taken ALL of the HDD screws for the HDD mounts that are specific to this case. All 32.

Then says "Oh if you want you can return it". Go screw yourself, Champ.

Behodar:

I bought a new cutlery set ~2 months ago, and today I found that one of the forks has gone walkabout. I don't take them into funny places (I always eat in the same place, never in e.g. the bedroom) and I can't see how this is possible, but it's happened anyway.

Annoyingly this isn't the first time it's happened, in fact when it happened around 3 months ago it was what spurred me into buying a new set in the first place. I just don't understand it!

Check the bottom of the dishwasher?

I once lost a vege knife, dug it up out of the garden a year later. It must have gone in with the compost while peeling veges one day. In that house I also dug up a fork which had a different design to ours, must have belonged to a previous occupant.

I broke my last remaining wine glass last night. Then again, it was an ultra-cheap Shenzhen or Qingdao-made one from the likes of the Warehouse.

Stop being so posh and drink straight from the bottle like the rest of us! πŸ˜‚

Or a tea/coffee mug.  Holds more and easier to clean too.

Contacting Asics about an expensive pair of shoes which are literally falling apart, and are ~18 months old. I wear them casually and only in weekends, but they consider that wear and tear. In the same sentence they say they are rated for 600-800KMs on running which they equate to 6-8 months of use.

I'd be genuinely shocked if I had walked 100KM's in them casually.

Just make sure you unplug it from the car first; otherwise...

I once dug up an entire dinner plate (not mine) in the back garden. There's no way it could have got there by accident but I can't fathom why you'd do it on purpose.

Maybe it was just too ugly to live.

If it's a place in West Auckland then I know someone who used to dispose of dirty dishes when they got too much by burying them in his back yard.

My wife has a distant cousin who has the philosphy that once he's used a plate it should go in the fire....

I'm assuming they are all paper plates but who would know?

The lovely Mr Fidget got me a new car.

It has cameras up front, out back and on the sides for 360 degree viewing.

Not one of these cameras records.

Still need a standalone dashcam.

You can prove the age of the shoes and that they are falling apart. After that it’s on the supplier to show abuse.

I'd just waddle in there and show them my fat belly and ask, "Do I look like I've walked 600-800kms?"

They may think to themselves we don't want this guy as a brand ambassador.

I think any claim that they are falling apart needs a picture. I was thinking that a sole with hardly any wear could show little use but maybe indoors on vinyl or carpet would be harder on the uppers.

For a long time I used to wear Rockport World Tours as they would last years until the sole wore through but even they went downhill. Looking at the company history of changing ownership and bankruptcy it's not surprising they didn't stay the same.
