Bung: The bags are not always petroleum based plastic. Many are cornstarch based and are compostable.
The annoying thing about these cornstarch bags is how easy to rip they are - sometimes, just opening them and you have a hole.

Yeah, I was being a bit facetious there. The thing about the cats is they don't get attention because they're not bagging their poop up afterwards, leaving dogs to get the blame for all faeces related littering.
Smart eh?

Ah now you got me on another hot topic! Local cats love to crap on my tussocks and especially love freshly dug / planted veg garden. My last dogs favorite party trick was to eat it just before she got in the front seat. Bad breath!

I gave up with the free ones that came with the food waste bin because I couldnt even unroll them without them sticking and tearing, so the 2 times I have used the bin it was just with the bare food in it.

Handsomedan: Finding out that the eldest son’s car is going to cost another $4600 to get it back on the road. After already paying out $2400 to get it to this point.
Poor kid was in tears last night.
That's a brutal introduction to car ownership, poor lad.
In my 5th form class at collage I took a "Commercial Practice" course and I always remember the phrase "Caveat emptor" which as we all know is Latin for "Let the buyer beware".
It has stood me well for all these years.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Your comment seems a bit... mean spirited...
It's fine in theory, but it's not possible to be aware of all the scenarios that come up. Sometimes you are just the fly, not the windscreen, no matter how much homework you do.

Something pico sized that annoys me... New raspberry pi pico announced. Still uses micro USB. FFS get with the times.
I now have a hard and fast rule, I do not buy anything that does not use USB-C and at the earliest opportunity, I'll replace anything I have with a USB-C version.
This means when I travel, I take a powerful USB-C Multicharger, and I am sorted.

You also have to check that the things have the CC resistors in them so they will work on a USB C charger. I will 2 star review anything with a USB C port but wont actually work. Its useless because if I am in the car with a USB-C to USB-C cable, and it wont charge, I am stuffed. I have a USB charged vacuum cleaner that would be ideal to clean crumbs in the car, but cant charge it there unless I was to get a USB-A lighter plug charger and then use a cable off that.

We're in the back end of 2024 and I still don't own any USB-C devices.
That we're in the back end of 2024 but I'm sure it was only January last week.

I just bought four mini USB cables. Both my brother and I have electric golf trundlers with a remote. The remotes are charged by Mini USB. He's forever losing the cable and is an all Apple household. Figured I'd buy some spares for the inevitable!

Strong correlation with huge penis 4x4 and probably all the off roading they ever do
I'm guessing you mean inverse correlation, if most of these 4x4s only see dirt when they drive over a flower bed.

Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. And for embedded/SCADA-type use, a barrel jack / Phoenix connector and 8-36VDC input. Anything relying on USB for power is an educational toy, not equipment I want controlling anything.
