Bung:
Searching BDM gives the DOB and registration number of the death record that you pay to get but not the actual date of death.
Catch 23 in my case.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
eracode: If you want a copy of a Death Certificate, you can order a copy from NZ Births, Deaths and Marriages for $33. You need to provide the deceased’s full name and date of death. This sounds fair enough.
However, in this case, my Dad died about 20 years ago - but unfortunately no-one in the family has the certificate and no-one remembers exactly what date it was. We want the Certificate purely for the sake of completeness in our family records - to show us the date. However we can’t get the Cert without knowing the date.
Can you PM me the name, location of death, and cemetery where he's buried if available?
Receiving the annual REM notification and despite smashing records and excelling well beyond last year, receiving a lower-than-last-year annual bomus and a smaller-than-inflation pay increase.
First world problems, I know, but incredibly demotivating on a Monday morning.
I effectively got the same as if I hadn't really tried at all last year. Which is exactly what I shall do this year.

I really do feel for you - but maybe not a great idea to say that on here - although I strongly suspect you don't mean it.

Yeah, I am not really built to do a bad job...I may say it, but I can't do it.
That's the thing that hurts the most I think...I know there are a lot of people that do the bare minimum and are still rewarded.

Sorry - just saw this - thanks for the thought. Dad was cremated and we scattered his ashes at sea.

When my new puppy finds out where i put my hearing aids and thinks they are a new chew toy. $6,000 later. The dog hasnt come near me since.

Common sense is not as common as you think.
Old people that wrap their TV remotes in plastic wrap…to keep them from getting dirty. Frustrated trying to help someone yesterday and their ancient Samsung remote was not only wrapped so you couldn’t see the labels but the remote was so old that the buttons hardly worked.

OMG please tell me insurance covers this. In the meantime if you have Apple AirPods Pro and an Apple phone you can use them in Transparency Mode as reasonable hearing aids for the time being.

i was lucky What my insurance said
We wouldn’t normally cover pet damage caused by chewing/scratching, this is an exclusion in your policy.
However, we can see this is your first claim of this nature so we will cover in this instance. There will be no cover for future claims as a result of scratching/chewing by a domestic pet.

That's a good outcome. They likely have a client for a few more years now.

Wow that was great. Which insurance company?
Good outcome. We had our cats scratch our curtains and chew a venetian blind in the lounge and got them replaced under insurance. In fact, insurance replaced them for the whole lounge and dining room so they all matched (essentially, got a quote from a provider and insurance paid out the money). We paid to do the bedrooms at the same time since half the house was paid for.

Friend yesterday said she moved her insurance from State to AA and saved a lot. Good to hear.
