What absolute shitheads some parents are. It's no wonder their kids are little bitches when their mums are mean girls.

Mine is that I finally got an induction stove, got a great deal on it, and despite being a 90cm cooktop same as the gas one it's replacing, the elements are closer to the edge and so don't meet the clearance requirements.

Gas fitter is trying to make it fit, but at his hourly rate it feels like this is going to cost a fortune. Not to mention the rangehood will be slightly off centre afterward.

Why is a gas fitter involved in an induction hob issue, is the oven gas? What are the clearance issues? The obvious one is that gas has to have MORE clearance from the splashback that anything electrical. Is the gasfitter trying to apply gas clearances to the induction hob?

Criminals.

Someone broke into our car yesterday at around midnight.
CCTV didn't catch them in the act, but did catch them walking away from the car.
Now the police, insurers etc are all involved and it's a big hassle.
They attempted to steal the car and were either disturbed or useless.

Also - washing machine clapped out yesterday.

Surprisingly, when I went to the doctor today with all this going on my blood pressure was pretty good.
But I am off to the skin cancer clinic tomorrow to have a suspect growth looked at on my face.

Overall, I am pretty annoyed by everything above right now.

The timer in our old clothes dryer had a problem - it was going too fast (as in set it for 60 minutes, but it's "finished" ten minutes into the cycle).

Tech came around lunchtime last week and replaced it. The dryer is working again.

An hour later, the wife put clothes in the washing machine. It does what it does until it stops.

Called tech for a visit, he came yesterday.

Annoyance #1: The washing machine stopped working an hour after the tech left, so a second visit means paying another callout fee

Annoyance #2: The washing machine is dead. The motherboard has some corrosion. It had a good, long 25-year life.

Annoyance #3: Having to buy a new washing machine. These things are expensive. Please subscribe.

You assume we don't do it already. But not available every weekend in Wellington.

Because the current one has blown away in Windy Wellington and you have to wait until the next weekend to buy another washing line?🤣

Pretty much. We do it as much as we can, but there's a decent chunk of the year in Wellington when you just can't get things dry outside, especially things like towels and bedding.

My fridge's condenser is periodically leaking water, and the door sometimes needs extra force to open it. Is it a dodgy door seal?

"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

True. But on the plus side, it's spring now, so you could possibly put off this purchase until autumn. Even in Wellington?

I think you are mistaken. The dryer is working fine. The washing machine is the one that has died hours after the tech left the house.

Did you hear him say "Begin auto-destruct sequence, authorization Picard 4-7 Alpha Tango" as he was leaving?

Is it a Samsung?

They have a known issue where the drain from the freezer compartment blocks up with ice and it then fills the bottom of the freezer with the overflow.  I pull the inside apart and squirt it with hot water from a spray bottle set on jet until it melts through.

Apparently there's a "fix" you can do by wrapping a bare wire round the heater element and passing it down through the hole which is enough to keep it from freezing up.  That will be my project next time I have to pull it all apart.

In your case, sounds like the door might be icing up and sticking which mine would do if I left it long enough.
