And even in those adverts it's drawn like an archery bullseye .. which kind of defeats the message.

One of the advantages of a speed limit is more consistent speeds between vehicles and therefore less overtaking.  It's a speed that should be driven at if it's safe to do so.

The inability to drive at the posted speed limit on a straight, high quality section of road in favourable conditions IMO indicates a driver and/or vehicle that shouldn't be on the road.

Or if they need to drive slowly for some reason (e.g. car-sickness-prone kids - been there) they should just pull left and maintain that slow speed on straights and passing lanes.

So towing our boat we must do the "posted speed limit"

People that post asking for clarification on other people's positions in regard specific points when they already know full well were not actually being suggested...

Tech review sites (not Geekzone!) such as phone review sites that are so advertisement heavy that the reviews are almost unreadable on a mobile phone.     The page loads and you go to scroll down & nothing happens.   Then you get pop ups and the page lurches downwards & you might get to read the next two lines of the review if you are lucky.      For the average phone user it is just too much hassle trying to block these ads.    From what I have read you need either a rooted Android phone or go through a lot of hoops trying to stop these ads.    I am not going to pick on one particular site but it's starting to ruin the internet.     At least in the days of dial-up once the frigging page loaded one could read the whole damn page without all this b.s.     Try to get a long range forecast for some cities and apart from the official weather site, you will find a multitude of crappy weather sites that do the same thing with cruddy and useless ads.

Yet, go to a website such as Radio NZ & everything works perfectly.    Pages scroll perfectly.    End of mini rant.

Talk to the importers who want cheap junk to sell to us. The Chinese can make golf clubs that you cannot distinguish from the real mccoy (ok thats copying), but we don't want that. The Red Shed wants $9 jugs. We imported custom made drapes, outstanding quality. 1/3 the price and 5X better. Its there. But we don't want that here. We want dirt cheap or Audi type brands. Our loss. I could import top top gear at great value, but the Made In China makes people ignore real value/quality and assume its cheap rubbish, our loss.

PhantomNVD: Finding a great TV show that I somehow have missed for three seasons and binge watching the whole set just to run out into 'live' viewing as it's getting interesting again

Bingeing, then you catch up, and you have to wait a week.

I flatted with three females for one year at Otago. There was no room in the shower for my little shaving foam can and razor. I swear I used a different product every day for months. Oh what's this? St Ives Apricot Scrub, I will try it.

LOL

We have a pretty good sized walk in wardrobe, I dont get much of it. Double vanity, hers overflows to mine. I also lose half the duvet at night. But when F1 is on, the TV is happily given to ME

Brands from any country have an incentive to optimise and improve product quality. Non-brands are a different story.
