Also does anyone know if, of the most stolen models, is it limited to only those that don't include factory security?  My wife's car is one of those and without the key fob inside the car there's no way it will start.

 

Successfully stolen, yeah it will stop it, but they still get broken into and trashed. If its like the aqua and there are models without security, then it will get tried and if they fail friends have found they just trash the interior even more and then move on.
