Stuff: "Seagliders are being developed by ex-Boeing engineers with funding from investors who include US billionaire Peter Thiel."
Excuse me. It's New Zealand billionaire Peter Thiel.
😂

can you maybe say what you think is wrong with any of those?
Jase2985:
can you maybe say what you think is wrong with any of those?
“After a lengthy battle over a family bach Grant Parkins is on the brink of believing if justice exists.“
This makes no sense at all.
It should read "...is on the brink of believing justice does not exist" or "...is on the brink of wondering whether justice exists."
Also:
“It's all because of a change to lending rules, called the triple CCCFA,”
Called "the triple CCCFA? I think not. It is called the CCCFA. It might be pronounced (awkwardly) as "the triple C FA" but it is not called "the triple CCCFA"
“predatory debt schemes like what's used by clothing trucks”
This is such a schoolboy howler that it ought to have ceased by the age of 10.
It should read "predatory debt schemes such as those used by clothing truck operators".
"like what" is never correct in this context.
Do these so-called journalists actually go to school?
Jase2985:

Well, for starters, how can a truck be predatory?
Geektastic:
Do these so-called journalists actually go to school?
Unlikely if they are in full time employment as a journalist; they probably go to work.
Geektastic:
Really? I do not think anything is wrong with them - I KNOW what is wrong with them.

Grammar is not something that someone who writes for a living should not be able to use correctly.
As standards slip people become accustomed to more and more sloppiness until they no longer know what is incorrect and you can no longer be 100% certain that what you think you understand is actually what is intended. Rules of grammar exist for a reason. They are important. Especially the basic ones.
