neb: I'd resisted putting up a Timms because of concerns about non-possums getting caught, but you really can't beat them for getting possums and it's set way down in the bush where I've never seen anything go.

And another one in the Timms:

For anyone contemplating getting a possum trap, don't even bother looking at anything else. I've got mine set up with a PIR sensor that pings me if there's movement by the traps down in the bush, useful to know so you don't end up with a several-day-old dead possum festering away. It's also a good safety check for non-possums being around the traps, so far nothing except birds stealing the possum lure.

Today I engaged in a little bit of time travel and got away with it.

I received a courier delivery straight after getting home. Three hours later I got the email telling me it had shipped.

Edit: Actually, it says it shipped "today (22/11/2021)"!

Back from my GP having received my 3rd Covid 19 vaccination shot. Fully loaded and feeling much relieved.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Nice Mike, that's great news!

I'm well due, however work has said hold until they have their policy in first.

Be interested to hear how you react to a third shot, in relation to the last two.

3rd shot. I don't know the difference but I am very relieved to have three in the system.

The local branch of Possums against neb has also just clocked 3 in the system. Normally there's a 2 or 3 month delay in gaining each new member. There must be a disturbance in the force.

Being gifted a free annual Kindle unlimited membership by Amazon. Amazing. It really gave me a huge boost in mood.

The Withings Scanwatch Horizon was released in Europe only and ran out of stock pretty much straight away. I put my name on the waiting list for when stock came back and contact a friend in Brussels to see if she could forward one to me.

I checked the Withing site every day and notice the ORDER button appeared so I ordered one a week ago. The waitlist email was only sent three days after the stock was back online.

Last night friend sent me photos of the box and the watch (I asked her to open it to check) and checked prices with Belgium Post, DHL and FedEx. We agreed on DHL, I made a transfer using Wise for the expenses (plus a coffee of two) and she arranged for collection. Got an email from DHL confirming delivery should be next week.

Now to sell my current Withings Scanwatch.

@ge0rge Today I am feeling somewhat tired. I woke with a sore arm, glad I chose the non dominant arm this time. I also woke with very aching eyes which was odd. I took some paracetamol and busy doing the financials. The first two shots were somewhat a non event just tired. I figure this time the vaccine is really doing its thing to train my immune system.

I was tempted to put this in the COVID thread but thought that might not go down too well:

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

This piece of satire.

(It's not often I give thumbs-up to something published on Stuff,  I feel quite proud of myself.)

What do you mean "satire"? It's not The Onion so it must be real, surely?

That my new watch/tracker, shipped all the way from Brussels (the company in France only sells this model in the EU, so had a friend forward it to me), arrived two fulls days before the DHL estimate. Very happy.

Is he 6ft4, well-built and did he include a Vegemite sandwich in the parcel?
