Let's hope our Indonesian friends aren't too enraged over Stuff's insensitive cultural ignorance.

At least it wasn't a cartoon in a newspaper!

I swear the folk at Stuff must monitor this topic, in today's paper.

“For months her disappearance was a mystery until her body was discovered in the Arizona desert seven months later.”
So, for seven months then?!
Grey area. Her disappearance might have been planned and known about for the first month, but only became a mystery after that.

Rikkitic:True, but I think the point being made was timeframe was known, in this case 7 months, but the headline seemed have to hype things up by saying months to dramatise things.

From the New Zealand Herald today's article on Former NZ First MP Richard Prosser death:
The Counterspin website, one of New Zealand's biggest online platforms for anti-vaccination campaigners and conspiracy theories, said: "After hearing the sad news in our chat, we can confirm that Richard Prosser has left us after a long battle with depression."
With so many different sources, why bring to attention an obscure platform that peddles misinformation, lies and hoax about vaccination, mandate and other alt-right crap?

Twice tonight, first on Channel 10 at 5.30, then on TV 3 at 6 pm, there was a warning that the next item showed images of dead birds.
I hope that supermarkets will follow this and put similar warnings over the poultry section so that the squeamish amongst us can avert our eyes.

I don’t quite see why you think this is clickbait. Which to me is that the headline is not borne out by the text.
The leader of the free world falls off his bike and could have injured himself. Unfortunately one side will say
”This is proof he is suffering from dementia and shouldn’t be in office”
the other team will say
”Isn’t it great that someone who is nearly 80 is still active and confident enough to be riding a bike”.
In reality he got his foot caught in the pedal cage, which is what Stuff reported and is something that can happen to any cyclist.

Unless we now have fully sentient AI in helicopters, this is just sloppy writing.
We could check, apparently all you need to do is ask it if it minds being shutdown
