Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is heading to the Europe this weekend as part of a concerted push to get a long-awaited free trade deal over the line.

The Europe?

i read it the wrong way and wondered for a second why you would want your bad family to visit anyway.

New Zealand Herald: "Ask the experts: How do I convince my teen son's girlfriend to use contraception?"

What about convincing your son to use condoms instead? Why put this weight on the girl's shoulders only? Think of STDs, pregnancies, etc.

What a stupid, stupid headline.

It just shows how quickly we are progressing backwards. With this and the Texas example in mind, it probably won't be long before we are burning witches (book bonfires are already there) and howling at the moon.

“after a potential stabbing in Christchurch”

I struggle to see the validity of the word potential. Either someone was stabbed or they were not.

Both Herald and Stuff used the same word. It may have come from the police. I'd take it to mean they have a dead person and have not confirmed cause or means of death. One News was sensible with "suspected".

Why did they feel the need to name-drop an old TV series when you can't even see it?

Edit: The original file provided as part of the Air NZ media release doesn't mention Friends at all!

A TV series that finished 18 years ago. Maybe the caption writer didn’t see it first time around (or second, or third) and thinks everybody is catching up on it now.

I am watching Friends for the first time on Netflix. Last season now. For some reason really didn't get into it on the original run. But I wouldn't watch it on an aeroplane.

Maybe it's a (too?) subtle jibe at AirNZ for providing an endless supply of stuff no-one (except our Admin ;) ) would want to watch?

I would not watch on a plane. They never have the whole series and I wouldn't watch out of order episodes.

I wouldn't watch Friends on a plane

I wouldn't watch Friends once again

I wouldn't watch a 90's show

I wouldn't want to stoop so low
