Wow. Finally some blue forecasts -

and even more wow, its blue in real life as well. Still goes to freeze my assets off tonight (and tomorrow, and...) though apparently.

There I was in lying in bed in agony last night thinking about @Handsomedan. Jaw to ear painful as a hammer blow on a thumb. Took ages for painkillers to kick in. Pain disappears for a day then comes back with a vengeance so you keep hoping it’s improved.
Mine is definitely from an infected nerve under a tooth as it was X-rayed last Friday and dentist could see it. Can bite perfectly on it and no outward sign except excruciating pain that radiates. Get a dental X-ray on the side that hurts, no needles involved :) Haven’t been able to get mine fixed because dentist was flooded out all week, but going today and likely having it removed.
A couple of drops on a cotton bud then dabbed onto the tooth and gum - instant numbness.

My good arm is starting to fail.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

October 2025 my elderly father got taken into permanent hospital care and we put his house on the market.
Mid-February 2026 the property sold, dad died not long after. I duly informed all the relevant organisations of his passing, including the council.
26 March was settlement and the new owners took possession, all done through the lawyers with all rates and water accounts pro-rata'd and settled.
The annoying bit: today I received a rates bill from that council for the April-June quarter in dad's name.
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Looking at you, Spark!!

Specialist emails an appointment. Am advised that on arrival a photo will be taken.
Over my dead body. Why do they need my photo for their files… so that any hacker has not only my name address, birth date and complete medical history but now a photo of me to boot.
Have you asked them why the photo is needed?

I will when I arrive and fill out the form on Tuesday. There is no medical reason a photo of me is needed. It’s a tooth.

I'm annoyed that I have to have a tooth removed, because it's cracked.
As I am so needle-phobic, I have to be referred to a specialist surgeon that can do the extraction under a general anaesthetic, which means I have to make do over the next few days (long weekend of eating on one side of the mouth and a cocktail of painkillers).

Probably taking a photo of the tooth with a specialist camera. That would be quite normal.
That today's youth no longer address me with the polite "Sie" (formal "you"), but simply use the informal "Du" (informal "you"). As if I'd ever herded pigs with them. 😁

In Brazil pretty much everywhere people use "você" (you) instead of "tu" (you). Except in the Rio Grande do Sul state. It's very different and other people are surprised when they hear a gaúcho (someone born in the Rio Grande do Sul, also the pampas cowboy) use "tu".
But then, the state was always different, and have heavy Italian and German immigrants influence, so the more European Portuguese "tu" is preferred there.
