But seriously Synology makes good kit. Have a 220 ready for config
I have a DS220+ with 2x 4 GB drives and it's a really nice small NAS.

I would really like to update my aging DS413j NAS that I use for macOS TimeMachine backups and Docker.
But that said, I cannot afford a new one, so will settle for a Hat or Tumbler :D
My old but reliable Synology DS915+ is now looking for an upgrade.
Nice badge!
Great timing. I'm looking at getting a Synology NAS at the moment. This prize is definitely on the short list for me.
Would love to upgrade my old DS412+
badge me up
would be a nice upgrade to my 420+!

I'll just grab a badge for the fun of it :P
I currently have an earlier 4-bay Synology. My next one's going to be maybe 6-bay, because I've managed to fill mine up and it's not cost-effective to replace the 10 TB drives at this point!
@zocster @mrphil and everyone else, remember you have to complete steps 1, 2 and 3 - just replying here will put you in the draw for the tumblers/caps only.

Synology is definitely one of my favourite tech brands, after Apple. My first NAS was the DS214se but a couple of years ago I upgraded to the DS218+. It's mainly used as a Plex server and for storing Time Machine backups. I would love to see a NAS containing an ARM processor similar to what Apple is using for Apple silicon.
I'm happy to see the improvements to macOS compatibility at the 2022 conference and the new router looks awesome.
I experienced a hard drive failure once too, but I was very impressed by how easy it was to pull out the faulty drive and plug in the new one, and have the volume repair itself. Even since this happened to me I've been a huge believer in data redundancy. I have a friend who has a similar NAS but has no redundancy enabled - I keep telling him he's crazy, but he just wants the extra storage.
I keep trying to find uses for a NAS at my work, but we are all invested in Azure. Having real physical storage seems like a foreign concept these days.
Planning to upgrade my Netgear ReadyNAS, would be great to have the 920+
