I accidentally signed up to the Hoyts Rewards program with the incorrect year of birth - 10 years erlier than I was born. As a result, I became eligible for seniors discounts - I tried to explain I'd made an error when buying ticlets over the counter, but the cashier just smiled as if I was some senile old man. I now pay senior rates for the movies.
I am not old enough by any stretch, but clearly look it.

While talking about when I worked the night of Y2K one of my team said "What's Y2K?", unironically.

Time to retire.

That one will probably still be working when the 2038 bug rolls around.

My flybuys card is old enough to drink and vote.

Unfortunately it’s terminally ill.

Likewise mine is the same as I use everywhere. Back when it needed invites to get it and you got a set number every so often.

I must be old.

Been an AA member for 46 years and called them out twice.

I have been 30 years at my current job, which is before half my workmates were born.

Remember the leadup to Y2K that turned out to be pretty much a non-event.

I was early enough in the game when Xtra started around 1996 that I was able to get my three initials as my email address - xxx@xtra.co.nz. Thought nothing of it at the time. This is one reason why I am reluctant to move from Xtra.

On the plus side you can get your own domain so you have firstname@lastname.nz instead nowadays...

I recently caught up with my niece who I hadn't seen for ~5yrs (thanks COVID). She's 22yrs old and just caught the running bug so she asked me to join her for a run. Awesome I thought, something we now have in common and a chance for me to get to know the young woman she has become.

~75mins and 15kms of her telling me all the details of her and her friend's sex lives. All the details, nothing was left out and I mean nothing. It made me feel very old. When did young people become so open with that topic?

Listening to 10cc Dreadlock Holiday on the radio this morning. Came out the year I was doing my 0-levels...

I'd guess ever since Instagram and TikTok happened.

(I never really watch either but occasionally see someone commenting on a TikTok video, based on that it should be called TMITok).

So was it one way conversation then? 🤨
