Looks like a sale is on the table.
I wonder who will buy it? I can only assume that it won't be one of the big players, as the Commerce Commission (in NZ at least) would probably shoot it down in a hurry.
It does strike me as a store for teenagers / people who want to buy bottom end TV's and PC's.
The top end 'concept' stores looked nice when they opened up, but they still have last years TV's lining the shelves - which is making them look dated already. Pity, 'cos they leave a lot of other stores behind in other presentation areas.
I don't know if the commerce commission would shoot a big player down for bidding on it, as it is probably one of the most competitive areas in retail with lots of players. It is not as though it is a duopoly, or monopoly in that area of retail. I would doubt a big player would buy it either to then shut it down, like what happens in other areas. Would be good if apple purchased them, and they became proper apple stores.
