NZ Top 40 App is nice. I have iTunes match with no locally stored music and playlists were brought through, without any music :(

So how would you compare it to Rdio? Does Spotify state the odd songs as unavailable?

Yes no Matchbox 20, Pink Floyd and a few others in my favourite collection. However it copes with this better than Rdio by synching those songs unavailable, with the songs from iTunes, if you have them. So you don't have to keep switching back to the iTunes music app.

I specifically went looking for an album I know hasnt been available on Rdio and found that it was available on Spotify. However - I also looked for another album that shows as unavailable on Rdio - on spotify it simply didnt turn up in search results (as if that album didnt actually exist). Much of a muchness right now - but I've grown fond of the Rdio apps and UE

In Spotify's settings you can choose to hide unplayable tracks. This is turned on as default on the iPhone app. Rdio doesn't do this.

So far, there's been a couple of songs from the 90's that are listed, but 'unavailable'. But other than that, I'm loving it.

Having fun re-discovering songs i haven't heard since the 90's! I love the 'Related Artists' section in the corner!

As far as I'm aware Pink Floyd isn't available on the US version either

Been using the US version for awhile, glad the NZ is now available

I think we get free premium for 2 days. And then can sign up for a free 30 days after that.

But it seems no-ones credit card is working. Don't think they've got it all working yet.

Sweet, thanks. If credit still isn't working in a couple of days, I'll use my paypal.

Does anyone know if there is any geographical restrictions for NZ content wise? We already use the UK paid version (thanks to having a UK CC). Keen to switch to the NZ service but need to know if there will be a lack of content.

Quite a few songs are not allowed to be played in New Zealand; most of them I have found are in the billboard top 100 etc so new songs.

I will be sticking with the US version of Spotify for now.

Well that's a shame. Other than apps I don't see how spotify is greater than Rdio.

The catalogue is really impressive. I've been throwing some really obscure stuff at it and i'm getting hits galore!
