Lizard1977:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 0/10

This is true, BUT don't write off the sequel yet.  I watched both and the sequel is MUCH better.  It really captures the feel of the 90's cartoon.  Plus the intro of Bebop/Rocksteady/Krang makes it really fun.  It's a far superior film.  Still not great, but it's a good "6/10 would watch again" :)

I do feel they could have done so much more with Shredder in BOTH films.  But oh well.

I dunno, the first was really bad.  It's a rare thing that I won't finish a film - I actually swore at the television as I turned it off, it was that bad.

I may glance at it when it's available on a streaming service, but if it's bad, then I'm blaming you! ;)

I wouldn't even watch that rubbish.

I remember when the first live action GI Joe movie was on free to air TV a few years back. I probably watched half an hour of it before switching off, it was so incredibly inept on every level.

I know, I know - I live in hope, ever optimistic. That said, I kind of enjoyed GI Joe. It was corny as hell, but you could tell it wasn't taking itself too seriously, and as a result it got a pass from me.

Last movie was 'Bridget Jones baby' in a movie theatre in Sweden with subtitles. Was weird watching it as I was distracted by the subtitles. I was constantly translating the words to see if they got it right lol.

Last movie I watched was IP Man 3 with Donnie Yen and Mike Tyson.  If martial arts movies are something you enjoy then this is a great final movie for this series with Donnie Yen portraying IP.  Mike Tyson imo shows in his fight scene why in his day he was truly also a force to be reckoned with.

Watched the Ghostbusters remake the other night. Just awful. I mean, truly terrible. I don't think I can emphasize enough just how bad it was.

Is that the TV series? I haven't seen it but seems like the vast majority of opinions are the complete opposite..

Yeah Westworld was absolutely fantastic.  I came away thinking that it's the highest quality sci-fi I've seen on TV since Battlestar Galactica hit the screens 10+ years ago, and Babylon 5 before that.

The cast is stellar.  It can only get better.

The Devil's Rock (2011)

A low budget Kiwi indie movie on YouTube. Surprisingly good for what it is. The demon chick is welcome to seduce me. tongue-out

Off to see this tomorrow. Watched Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children tonight and I must say I was blown away. I think Tim Burton must've been inspired by a few Guillermo Del Toro films before making this. Fun, fascinating but also kind of scary, a bunch of plot holes but who really cares when it's a fantasy movie. 8/10
