It also has a trap in it! If you answer "it's a trap!" then you also need to say that Star Trek is better.
It is! ;-)

This variant should be in the annoy thread: Excessive proton/proton fusion, combined with high humidity.

insane: Watching a queue jumping car driver not be allowed to push in.
When I lived in Kapiti and occasionally drove to work in Wellington the bit that used to annoy me was the stretch from Plimmerton to Pukerua Bay where inevitably the traffic backed up in the evening. Lots of drivers used to take the Airlie Rd off ramp and then try to sneak back on 1000 meters further up.
I was always grateful to the people in cars or trucks far bigger than mine who would move left and stop them getting any further.

Yeah there's a similar one up here in Auckland where if you 'miss' Othea Valley Road offramp you get to drive 25KM round trip to get back and reflect on how much of a dick you are.
It's not quite the same as that. After the off ramp down at Airlie there's a way back onto what was SH1 now SH59. It has a left hand lane which runs for a few hundred meters to allow traffic in. Most times of day it works OK but as I said above in the early evening it's chaos.
BTW, unlike your 25 km detour those simply don't exist in Wellington unless you route via Palmy North.
I have recently watched a couple of episodes of the current season of Mastermind UK on BBC.
Either (a) I have got a bit smarter or (b) they have dumbed down the second-round general knowledge questions from what the programme was like 20-30 years ago. I have been able to get a lot of the questions right - much more than I used to.
I guess general knowledge does expand with age (and I’ve had a decent period in which to expand) - but I suspect it’s option b.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
