Haven't yet seen the final episode of Killing Eve, but totally agree about your assessment of a great series literally losing the plot. What happened?!

I hadn't realised until recently that Phoebe Waller-Bridge was the writer only for season one. I reckon she's brilliant (eg Fleabag) and could well explain the quality of the first season compared to what was to follow...

FineWine:

Slow Horses - Apple TV original 6/10.

Follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve as a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes. Led by their brilliant but irascible leader, the notorious Jackson Lamb.

I had/have high hopes for this, but, Slow Horses is a slow burn. There is A LOT (too much IMO) of personal back ground to their career-ending mistakes. Garry Oldman plays a very brusque, chain smoking, heavy spirit drinker sloth but with a very languid instinctive sharp mind who has been tossed on the rubbish heap heading up this dumping ground department.

Watched first two episodes of four released so far (12 episodes over two seasons) and I hope it picks up. John Le Carre it isn't, but there is a pot boiling of intrigue and plot twists and with no doubt more to come.

Watched this and felt completely the opposite. Great story and good acting. Really enjoying it so far.

Very impressed with Moon Knight on Disney+, great of comedy and spooky with good characters.  Really recommend watching with a good sound setup though, the voice of Khonshu is all from the subwoofer and feels like directly in your mind.

The Brink. Great Cast, an interesting mix of serious and funny, Highly recommend if you like Tim Robbins and Jack Black.

Currently watching You Must Be The Husband - I remember this BBC series being shown on TV One when I was a kid in the 80s (showing my age here). Starring the late Tim Brooke Taylor of The Goodies.

Anyone else remember it? Would be great if it was on DVD or Netflix or...some digital format.

RogerMellie:

Finished first season of 'Severance' on AppleTV+ at the weekend.

Bloody good!

I binged watch this over Easter. It takes a lot for me to binge watch but this one had me hooked right until the season finale.

Well worth watching

Going through Balthazar on Acorn TV. Not bad but not great. A 6.5/10.

I've been enduring Space Force season 2 on Netflix

Not nearly as good as season 1 despite its really quite stellar cast and I'd say it's unlikely we'll see a season 3.

Into episode 7 of Mr. Mercedes.

8.5/10

Brendan Gleeson plays an awesome job as do all the supporting actress's/actors.

There is an actress called Justine Lupe who plays Holly Gibney. What a stellar performance

Based on a Stephen King novel.

Tells the story of a psychopathic killer who drives a stolen Mercedes into a crowd and a recently retired detective who tries to bring him down.

Hard Cell on Netflix. Very funny.

Mind you if that is what prisons look like these days I’m not surprised nobody mind being in them.

Two episodes into Severance, don't mind it but was expecting more given how highly recommended it is.

Agree, absolutely brilliant and love it too!

Told myself I was going to watch one ep in one night then watch another the next night, couldn't do it and ended up watching both the same night

I don't think they could have found a better actor than Bob Odenkirk for this character.. he's just received a Hollywood walk of fame star! even cooler is it's placed beside Bryan Cranstons!

started this last night and fell asleep.. going to give it another crack this evening but I was also expecting more given how highly rated it is
